I wonder why all the talk is on foreign players, what about foreign managers.
There are 4 English managers in the PL, 2 of them relegated (and 1 more a possible relegation candidate) so there could be ONE English (who is a hoof/run merchant!) manager in the PL next year (If Hull don't make it...
Who doesn't want to tell their kids/grandkids years down the line that they remember when BHA were in the Premier League playing the likes of ManU,Liverpool,Arsenal,Everton,ManC,Chelsea, etc. Even if it were for 1 season, it'd be great to say "I was there".
Of course we want to make the PL...
So why not a brick wall penalty? Both make no sense.
Stonewall means to delay or obstruct. It's a verb, not an adjective. e.g. Our defence stonewalled the palace attack.
Stone-cold means absolute, completely etc. e.g. Stone cold sober.
I know that is is used but it's wrong no? Stone-cold is the correct term.
The UrbanDictionary there is wrong in what stonewall means BUT is correct in stating how it is (mis)used. :D
Or alternatively, more game time will get Ulloa fitter....
I suspect the subs were there for one of the following reasons:
1. injury
2. gone behind, need more attackers
3. a few goals ahead, give a youngster some game experience
Ulloa is also useful (moreso than the youngsters) at defending...
What do you mean by "stonewall"?
I've heard this term a lot (more common now) on MOTD and it doesn't make sense, surely they mean stone-cold.
I suppose it's like americanisms creeping in, they are often grammatically incorrect but used so much that they seem "normal".
I'm not sure I would understand leaving for a relegation bound club (Gus is a long term prospect, not an emergency manager) at this stage in the season, especially as there is a distinct possibility that Reading go down and we somehow go up and then he'd look REALLY stupid.
All moot as I'm not...
Completely depends on what it is, if he has a prolapsed disc, he'll be out for months, if not more (I was unable to do sports for over 18months, although 6 of that was probably putting up with pain, waiting for NHS referalls, scans etc.).
Given the binfest after a loss or draw on here (which is at odds with any/all fans I speak to in "real" life), I would not take any NSC poll as being in any way representative of the fan base as a whole.
