Being "successful" at lower levels is far easier and, to an extent, irrelevant depending on what one's expectations are.
I'd say winning the CS is worth 10 trophies at lower level.
Are we more successful than Arsenal as we have more trophies than them in the last 5/10 years? No, of course not...
"big" names don't interest me.
GOOD names do.
The ones you mentioned aren't good names in my book.
Big or small, it doesn't matter as long as they're good.
I don't think the club has done anything of the sort.
They have suspended him and have only declared factually that an investigation is ongoing and that a hearing was yesterday but was delayed and will re-continue later this week.
Any "portrayal" is, as far as I can see, ALL down to...
Did you miss the very first reply to this thread? :D
I also love cycling on this line. The axing of lines wasn't all bad in that it gave great cycle routes.
I think we live in the same village, I could accept more homes IF and only if they made the A272 bypass the village somehow, maybe make it DC all the way from the A24 to the A23 too. Traffic is bad enough at times and ill only get worse anyway regardless of adding more properties.
The main...
Yes.
My opinion would have been different if he had left a couple of months ago when Reading came calling. I wanted to see what would happen this season if he stayed. Now we know where we are, I'd like to keep hold of him as he's a fine manager. However, if he leaves then I wish him all the...
Isn't this all a bit pointless to draw any conclusions at the moment?
Once we KNOW who the manager will be (Gus or otherwise), who stays/goes will be down to them. They will have their vision of the team and thus what type of players fit into that.
I would have no problem with him but I suspect (unless he sees us a long term thing AND Poyet leaves of course) he'll be managing a Premier League team next season.
But players would have no choice if all other clubs were putting the same clause in.
I think they should scrap parachute payments and make it a rule that contracts are set as such that wages are re-negotiated (or set to a lower level) upon relegation.
The "modern" day photos show very young kids on small swings.
The old photos show much older kids (and adults) on the large swings. Also, they appear to also be on "safety" surfaces, i.e. grass!
All that's gone is the large swings. Would older kids (and adults) even use them these days?
You've answered yourself there. I'd wager if he had the budget of the other clubs surrounding Everton, he would have won trophies.
IMO, he has overachieved and now needs a club with a larger budget. I think he'll be at MU for a long time (stability is key and he shows staying power) and will...
Don't bring facts to the discussion, there's a lynch mob going on :D burn him burn him.
FWIW, I clapped etc. but if other don't want to or wish to pay respects in a different manner etc. then that's entirely up to them.
As for the "snobbery" of some fans here  if some don't know who...
Well, the vast majority of 30k fans at the Amex yesterday would disagree with you. :D seem to be a few Victor Meldrews on this thread
Every now and again(once in a blue moon), yes. Regularly, no, that would be a bit naff.
To be jailed in the 1st place, you had to be found guilty beyond all reasonable doubt YET STILL they they have got it wrong.
They don't have categories of "probably" guilty, let's jail them and "definitely" guilty, let's hang them :D
Many of us may want to hang those we consider "definitely...
