With respect, I would not be supporting this.
I (and may others) love cycling/walking various parts of this route and wouldn't want that taken away. By all means, build a train line next to, rather than on, the line :D :D
This all seems to come down to your own state of mind/attitude.
Positive people will think things are good - these people will tend to be happy.
Negative people will think things are bad - these people will tend to be unhappy.
A certain dependency culture may evolve where people seem to think...
The first comment was somewhat tongue in cheek/sarcastic as the original replier to my post mentioned.
The other two statements are simply questions, playing devils advocate etc. if you can't figure that out, Internet forums are not for you.
Resorting to name calling, well I'm not even going...
That's a big assumption that they all would have voted Green if they were about! Sounds like he's trying to deflect attention away from the fact that people are turning their backs on them.
I was not slagging teachers off. Only those with a chop on their shoulder or high horse would think that. You're simply trying to turn it into one side versus another (divide and conquer methods maybe...). I've simply been asking questions and proposing ideas/solutions. Those ideas may be...
Also, how many MPs are from scientfic/engineering backgrounds compared to those from the legal/journalistic professions? How many are simply PPE grads onto being SpAds. and so on.
Yet have better pass results and better educated kids etc. Guess they are simply better teachers working in a better system.......
Anyway, hospitals don't close for doctors to do training days, they arrange cover for those doing the training. Can't something similar be done?
If my suggesting...
I'd be more than happy to do this if I got 13 weeks holiday!! :D
Maybe that's what should happen, reduce their package to 12 weeks holiday. Use that extra 5 days for any training days necessary so it doesn't disrupt teaching the kids.
Debatable of course that it makes a better government. What makes a better government is a whole separate discussion!
What I will say is that parliament needs votes from all the MPs to get bills through, often it's fairly close depending on the majority the winning party has. If they have to...
If people don't like the candidate that a given party (that they might vote for) put up, then join that party and campaign for a better candidate.
Many people complain (sometimes quite "vigorously") but seem to stop short when actually doing something about it. Martin Bell DID do this (ousted a...
They don't ALL get high paid jobs after leaving politics. Some also spend a long time in politics, after which they may not be able to re-continue their previous career.
It should be an honourable thing to do (of course that's not to say all the individuals are as such!) and be rewarded as...
But (for football) most traffic is from A27 or A23 so has to go THROUGH built up areas to get to Mill Road or the Racecouse.
Actually, on that note, is the parking at the club used as a P&R on non-match days (i.e. travelling the other way round etc.)
This seems to make a lot of sense to me, a junction/slip roads right outside, means it deals with those coming from the north/A23, mill road for those coming from the west/A27.
I'd like to know it's not a good idea (putting aside whether the pitl owners would allow it - be a money spinner for...
