I'm sure he is and will be great. From the England perspective, if we are to win a Euro or World cup, we need 7 or so players that could/would walk into any other countries' starting 11. At the moment we have 2 or 3 realistically, possibly 4. Countries like Spain probably have 9 or 10. Germany...

I agree. He's the key to our whole game and I'm not sure we have someone else as good (or nearly) to take his place.

I think that's nonsense. To "reassure" other clubs that he's worth taking on, he needs to play a fair few games (say half a season and still be OK). By that time he's out of contract anyway so can go on a free.

If the overall standard was poor then it would be "easy" for half a dozen good teams to run away with it. The overall standard is (probably) rather good and that's why few teams can really make the breakaway.

Even though half of us here would be dead? Not sure many of would want to go back to the levels of poor health, disease, lower life expectancy etc. that they had then.

I prefer to take it the other way, if this is where we are when none of our players are playing well, imagine how high we'll be when they inevitably do play well!

I think Barnes will be kept as he can defend as well, so when we're winning, he can be brought on to rest Ulloa/Hoskins(I think CMS will be sold) later on in the game.

Possibly to stop people from North/East from wandering into them. Withe the rails in place, the seats can be fitted very quickly, couple of days to do. More likely though is that they will probably have ALL the sets delivered at once hence NE not been fitted yet as waiting for NW to be ready...

Raising revenue is something many clubs can do but can only go so far (pricing fans out etc.). 20k fans paying £30 a game gets more than 15k fans paying £35 a game (not to mention lost revenue from pie/beer/programme/etc. sales). There is a line to be drawn somewhere that is affordable for...
