Northerners, Scousers and Scots, as far as I'm aware, are not really the focus of much discrimination or oppression ? I'm pretty sure that they ahve equal rights and have probably never been the focus of hatred in their communities.
I like the point though that as long as they are not...
More to the point how old are you? Is racist chanting OK? I mean, sticks and stones eh?
Out of interest if a player announced that he was gay, you would be OK with fans handing out vitriolic and hateful abuse to him? I mean they're just words, no?
I'm in the let 'em do it camp. It's going to happen at some point anyway and frankly I just don't care which billionaire owner pays his way to victory. Soon after they do it no-one else will care either.
I don't get this. From where I'm sitting in the WSU the atmosphere has been brilliant. If you think it's sterile then either you're deaf or our famed acoustics are in fact shit.
This is bizarre. The actual allegation was surely that the 'sheep shagger' chant (and the like) is racist. They seem now to be avoiding the subject of whether it is racism as well as the homophobic abuse we get by cooking up a new story. It sounds like bullshit to me and a rehash of a comical...
This would be a GREAT retort if in fact it was rooted in any kind of FACT. The policy being referenced is from THIS government. It's under Mr Cameron's 'Employer's Charter'. Now, I may not always agree with him, but I'm guessing he wouldn't introduce this policy if this 'rule has been in place...
Heh! You insult the intelligence of the poster and then go on to deride him for blaming the Tories for a whole load of things that his post doesn't blame the Tories for.
One of you two looks like a partisan political fanboy with an agenda that trumps the point being made. Clue: it's not Albion...
Given the high numbers of abuse victims that go on to abuse, I'm interested in whether any of the hang em high brigade think these particular pedophiles are any less responsible or any less of an embodiment of evil?
Don't disagree re: Mayweather being a scumbag, but Ortiz had already apologised and Mayweather in no way accepts or pretends to accept ANOTHER hug. He does what the ref tells him.
I don't see see him 'pretending' to acknowledge the touching of gloves or a hug. Ortiz had already hugged him AND kissed him AND touched gloves. The referee had told them to box, so he boxed. Ortiz knows this too hence the fairly resigned way he took defeat.
What has Mayweather done wrong. The ref tells them to box. It's like any other sport where the ref instructs play to start - you can't be a goalkeeper hear the blow of a whistle for a penalty and then claim you're not ready (Barthez did this a while back, no?).
I'm on Mayweather's side here. The fight was back on, Ortiz had already hugged him, kissed him and when they touched gloves surely it was time to box. Defend yourselves at all times are the words that spring to mind.
