Paddy Power were offering odds on what things David Cameron will say in his speech. These were some of the memorable ones.

1/10 Libya, the riots in August.
1/6 High unemployment figures.
1/3 "We're all in this together".
Evs Ed Milliband's speech, Samantha Cameron.
16/1 Game on. ???
20/1 Aston Villa.

David Cameron...After the riots in August the game against Aston Villa will still go ahead,I'm going with Samantha and Ed Milliband said in his speech that he will be going as well,we are all in this together, high unemployment and Libya refugees will assure a large attendance as well...Game on...
Seemples...when does PaddyPower pay out?

Not only was it a crass thing to say (coming from someone who's never had to worry about any money coming in) but it's economically foolish too. We need people spending to get the economy moving again - paying off debts is the last thing the economy needs right now.

Have you been giving advice to the Greek Government?

Exactly , we have no mortgage or credit cards. If we need to buy something we'll only buy if we've got the money set aside.

The problem is that the sensible people who didn't build up debt and saved their money aren't exactly reaping the rewards now due to low interest rates.

There is nothing wrong with credit cards and I move mine all the time to take advantage of interest free credit on purchasing however I really do wonder if banks have learnt their lesson in recent times. I have just closed Tescos as used for work only and want to go back to them so you need 12 months out, paid of my Virgin card so will use this for work and got a Bank of Scotland card, on-line application to guess what - instant £12K credit, fecking madness in my view.

:facepalm:Yer, I think you miss the point mate. I took the piss because he was blaming the tories for a rule that has been in place for years. If you blame the tories for that, you may as well blame them for all the other f*** ups Labour made. That was the point:facepalm: Off the three of us, I think you've trumped at looking the biggest prat. And considering he called the tories scum, for a rule brought in years ago, then I would say he looks like a partisan political fanboy.

Not one of your greatest posts DJ leon

This would be a GREAT retort if in fact it was rooted in any kind of FACT. The policy being referenced is from THIS government. It's under Mr Cameron's 'Employer's Charter'. Now, I may not always agree with him, but I'm guessing he wouldn't introduce this policy if this 'rule has been in place for years'.

Whatever. The rule has been in place for years. I've seen it many years ago as an employee, and I also now know of it now as an employer. It's probably just one thing in Mr Cameron's "Employer's Charter". Its not something new he's introducing though.

Don't know anybody of any political persuasion who thinks very much of David Miliband.

As I've said before he makes Kinnock look decent. The Tories can be a dumb as they like as they will win the next election by default, at least they won't need the lib dems this time.

This shows how little our government knows about economics.

At a time when all the talk is of the need for economic growth to suggest this is ridiculous as the more debt that is paid off the less money there will be in the economy and the deeper the recession will become.

Whilst is is undoubtedly good for individuals to pay off their credit cards new debt is unfortunately the lifeblood of our economy.

Fire someone between one and two years, and see how far they get at tribunal.

Most economies struggling I grant you that, but the problem is Labour spent spent spent, in good times, and bad times. At some point you have to pay for what you spend, and Labour never done this. Under tories, the rich get richer and the poor also get richer. Under labour, the rich got richer, and the poor poorer.

I think we ca go on blaming Labour for the mess that is Europe, until we can find some way of getting out of it.

If you fire someone after a years service without justification or a pay off they would win a tribunal. FACT! Unless my last 15 years of managing many staff at some of the countries biggest companies has been a daydream. I have tried to fire people who have been terrible in the workplace and it is impossible without paying them out.

You are completely fabricating that under labour this wasnt true. The tories are going to lift the ceiling which will have the greatest impact on the most vunerable. They are a disgusting outfit. The cuts have killed any growth potential because nobody is spending. Even Osbourbe admits that without growth his plan is toast. They are praying for some sort of miracle to dig them out of the cul de sac they refuse to drive out of and its not coming.

It's all well and good Canmeron wanting people to pay off their credit cards but what's going to happen to those people who are employed by any industry that requires people to buy their wares ? Cameron, like so many Tories, comes from a monied background and doesn't quite grasp that if we all tighten our belts many people will wind up jobless.

A decent speech. Cameron is head and shoulders, a stronger leader of his party than Milliband or Clegg but it was all just hot air really wasn't it ?. Nothing of any substance. They have a cutting and austerity plan but absolutely no plan for growth and we will be back in recession very shortly.

I will admit when he first came on the big boys scene I liked him and his ideas, but as time has gone on he has turned out to be thoughtless dickhead like most politicians I mean just how crass can you be he has never had to worry about where the next money is going to come from for rent or the mortgage has his holidays in places most people can only dream about.
his party are selling off the NHS through the back door as well as letting the banks do just about what they want by allowing them to ensure they never lose a penny but still continue to trade and lose huge amounts of money that might be used to pay off the borrowing they made when they were in trouble.
the only problem I see is any of the opposing parties they are absolutely clueless as well.
we are all in this together
pay off my credit bill (less that £100) and how much did you borrow last month in excess of 15B unemployment up,crime up,redundancies everywhere, never mind you can go away to Tuscany and not worry about it for a while .........no even better why not fecking stay there and do us all a favour
