Quite.
As I've said before, if people could opt out of the licence fee and couldn't get BBC content anywhere else for free, it'd be interesting to see how many people would be happy to do so. It's hard to know while you're living it what will be the things that matter in the future, but...
What a load of old nonsense. You do realise you're paying tax for a whole load of stuff you might not use, right? That's a form of fascism too?
I would love it if they did find a way to let people like yourself opt out. You'd be in a sad lonely minority though.
its an awesome thing the BBC. It's one of the finest things about our nation, something to be completely proud of. The value for money it provides us is awesome.
I don't mind the occasional criticism of it, it should always try and be better. But those that actually have it in for the BBC...
Which is fine as long as you don't ever expect them to give a shit about us.
But of course in the past so many other clubs have given a shit about about us, which has helped us get where we are today. So really this just makes you look arrogant and ungrateful.
But as I say that's fine.
I am addressing Cameron. He said it. And I'm addressing the Tories. They're in power. You're bumbling around blaming people for playing a political game, when no-one OTHER than you is.
Did he name an individual and call them 'morally wrong'? I'm sorry, but I'm really not picking political sides here. The record of both parties on tax loopholes is woeful. That's pretty much undeniable. Sorry not to enter a good old 'left' vs right ding dong.
Out of interest what do you think my obvious political bias is?! You should probably face up to the fact that there is NO difference between the parties on tax justice. NONE.
It is a can of worms for him. And he can't act on the problem, he just can't it's too widespread amongst the rich and very powerful. What's he going to do now? Start on Phillip Green? Richard Branson? Vodafone? Google? Facebook?
Of course I think he should. I think our global economy should...
They're not going to be hard to find either. Virtually every wealthy person and successful business avoids tax. Cameron has made a big mistake opening this can of worms.
I'm not sure he's doing anything illegal and from what I hear this is the favoured scheme (the offshore company 'loaning' you your own money) of a lot of Premiership footballers as well as other wealthy people.
Personally what makes me sick is Cameron declaring this 'morally wrong'. You're in...
