[Finance] The end of Notes and Coins?

Why am I constantly being told that cashless payments are for my benefit? - no they aren’t. Both forms of payments, cash and electronic, have their benefits, (and drawbacks) - I would like to be the one who chooses which method to use, not some profit oriented financial institutions. The only...

[Albion] New special edition Albion home shirt (NHS)

BHA do NOT get a cut - all profits go to charity - I accept that P&P needs to be deducted from the £45. The point I’m making is that there is no mention anywhere of Nike contributing. Fine if anyone wants the shirt, not a problem - the fact that £15 of what is being paid for it is going to an...

[Albion] New special edition Albion home shirt (NHS)

Not according to the club email - “all profits from the sales going to NHS charities”. Paying Nike £30 is a strange way in my opinion to say ‘thank you’ to the NHS.

    [News] Well done boris!!!

Maybe so, but does that justify those saying similar about BJ? What right do we have to judge others?

[Albion] New special edition Albion home shirt (NHS)

My thoughts on seeing the shirt was how much of the £45 was going to Nike and what would actually be left as “profit” to go towards the “Albion as One” fund? Decided to donate £50 directly to the fund.

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

If you compare deaths in the UK with those in Sweden then the lockdown has been a success. Sweden reported 715 deaths from Covid19 yesterday out of a population of just over 10 million - equivalent to over 4,000 deaths in a population of 60+ million. Edit - got those figures wrong :( Deaths...

[Misc] Do you have a garden ?

Incredibly lucky, (or unlucky depending how you look at it), to have over 5 acres as a garden, including the River Mole.

Why then hasn’t my wife been tested, nor any of her fellow care workers nor her colleagues who are in self-isolation due to having Covid19 symptoms - meaning agency staff have to be used, who haven’t been tested either.

[Albion] 17th April 2017. How was yours?

We shouted, cheered and sang in the East Stand but there are limits when it comes to pitch invasions - most of us weren’t capable of climbing over the advertising lights! Edit - see what happens when you get excited!!!!

[Football] Bloom on Player wage dispute (Guardian article)

How many other wealthy sport stars, actors, entertainers etc are continuing to be paid at the moment. Footballers are amongst the few who continue to be paid very highly. Most other members of organised teams are not in the same league when it comes to earnings. Those not members of teams...

    Number of Deaths

It’s NOT care homes that are the disgrace, rather the fact that the difficulties they face is being ignored - both by the government and others. Also being ignored, possibly even more so, are the domiciliary care workers. The majority of care workers are earning either on or just above...

How seriously are you taking social distancing?

I don’t disagree with either decision but it does beg the question, why is it okay for both the PM and the Queen to travel to their second residences but not okay for the rest of us?

    A most un-relaxing BBQ

The real and only answer is to remove “exercise” from the list of allowable reasons to leave home.
