Paying Nike £30 is a strange way in my opinion to say ‘thank you’ to the NHS.

If you compare deaths in the UK with those in Sweden then the lockdown has been a success. Sweden reported 715 deaths from Covid19 yesterday out of a population of just over 10 million - equivalent to over 4,000 deaths in a population of 60+ million.

Why then hasn’t my wife been tested, nor any of her fellow care workers nor her colleagues who are in self-isolation due to having Covid19 symptoms - meaning agency staff have to be used, who haven’t been tested either.

It’s NOT care homes that are the disgrace, rather the fact that the difficulties they face is being ignored - both by the government and others. Also being ignored, possibly even more so, are the domiciliary care workers.

I don’t disagree with either decision but it does beg the question, why is it okay for both the PM and the Queen to travel to their second residences but not okay for the rest of us?
