Possibly but, because many are reluctant to hit a woman, maybe they are in a better position to defuse a situation compared to a burley steward or cop.
I’m old fashioned enough to somehow think it’s worse for a man to hit a woman than it is for them to hit another man. No real logic to it - simply the way I feel.
Refracted light in the atmosphere does cause problems for “stargazers” - more so because there are no clouds, (hence more stargazers), and the pollution is spread over a wider area.
Just because the light isn’t being reflected downwards and sideways and isn’t visible from the ground does not mean that it isn’t causing just as much light pollution and isn’t just as energy wasteful.
The light is simply being refracted over a much larger area.
I’m willing to bet that the amount I’ve paid into the club, proportionate to my bank balance, is more than TB has. There again he’s far cleverer than I am at making money. :D
VW reckon that 97% of the materials in EV batteries are recyclable for the manufacture of new batteries. Mind you VW are hardly the Holy Bible when it comes to environmental statements.
Agree totally with the comments so far as regards animal welfare and the use of antibiotics.
I have no problem however with GM foods - crops have been genetically modified for centuries via cross-breeding and hybridisation. Very few of the commercial crops, (if any), occurred naturally.
ESCC are already taking steps to reduce light pollution - all that reasonable people are asking is that our club does the same.

And maybe we could insist that all those in the “singing” section wear black, go by some collective name and have no consideration for those who would be forced to move. Sounds familiar.
I know a number of local West Ham and Spurs fans who are under 30. Lots of families from London moved to Crawley New Town in the 50’s, 60’s and 70 - some of whom were West Ham and Spurs supporters. As is often the case, the kids followed in their parent’s footsteps with regards to team...
Why the time wasting arguing the toss over the comparative finances. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is points. I’ll gladly join in taking the mick out of Palace when we are above them in the table - doing so now only confirms that their method results in more points and sets...
Driving to Brighton I travel along the M23 as far as Pease Pottage where the road becomes the A23 - still three lanes, same speed limit, no hard shoulder, very few, (if any), lay-bys.
It was widened to three lanes to relieve congestion - the section from Bolney was upgraded to a...
