But how much light - is 1mm enough? Where has there to be clear light? Do arms count, armpit, big toe? - all the same arguments as there are now.
Personally I like the idea of giving the attacker the slight advantage that changing the offside rule would give but the idea that it would make VAR...
I really don’t see how changing the offside rule like this would make any difference. All it would do is change the position of the blue and red lines! You’d still get the argument that the player is offside by just a millimetre, depends on which frame you look at etc.
Just because refs haven’t had the guts to refuse VAR advice doesn’t mean that they don’t have the right to do so.
“If the evidence provided to the VAR by the broadcast footage does not accord with what the referee believes he has seen, then the VAR can recommend an overturn.

I remember reading in threads about VAR, before it was introduced, that one reason not to introduce it was it would stop “arguments in the pub” about refereeing decisions.
Well you can throw that one in the bin.
Of course there are plenty of worse places to live and work but how many of those places try to sell themselves as a tourist attraction?
When we have visitors Brighton is the last place we would suggest for a night out or a weekend stay.
That 10 billion doubtless represents far more than 8% of liquid funds available.
It’s like saying that someone who gives 10,000 to charity is only giving 1% of their wealth away because they own a house worth a million.
