We seem to have got used to hard shoulders and even more, used to driving without assessing potential dangers ahead.
There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of miles of dual-carriageway in the UK that don’t have hard shoulders or any form of ‘refuge’. Are these now the scene of Armageddon...
As well as those who haven’t signed!
I accept that, as stated, the club can’t limit the use of the lights but significantly there is no mention of any investigation regards limiting the impact the lights are having, (such as covers).
I agree - but it won’t help get more action against the pollution being caused at other sites by disregarding the light pollution coming from our club. Isn’t the answer more awareness of light pollution in general and taking steps to reduce this.
The biggest light, noise and air polluter near...
I don’t know what steps Brighton are taking but many councils are taking light pollution seriously. Sodium lights are being replaced, lamp posts are being redesigned and lights are being switched off.
In any case what sort of argument is it to say that others are causing pollution therefore...
It won’t be the bats but it most certainly will be insects - insects that provide the food for bats
Just another step in the decline of insects which are at the bottom of the food chain relied on by so much wildlife.
I can’t remember the last time I had to clean the car windscreen of dead...
Grass growing lights are mounted on wheeled frames just a foot or so above the ground.
I don’t understand why they are left as open frames rather than having a reflective cover over the top - this would reduce the light pollution as well as directing more of the light where it is needed, on...
Install microphones in the roof of the North Stand and replay at a lowish level around the rest of the ground - except at the away end, blast it out at full power -
When the words are on the screen the number joining in with the singing is significantly greater than when they are missing. When the words haven’t been displayed for a few games the East is almost silent :(
It may not be noticeable from the North Stand but it certainly is from the East Stand.
I sit in the East Lower fairly near the halfway line - despite all the insults directed at this section there is actually a decent atmosphere. As regards singing then certainly all those around me seem to join in with GOSBTS, some much louder than others, and there is a general willingness to...
Should have been at the Crawley v Norwich cup game back in September - numerous flares were set off both during and after the game. As far as I am aware there weren’t any arrests.
What has that to do with the integrity and veracity of the individuals who carried out the audit and the valuation? And as you asked you could argue that it was in a way, as it was to do with inheritance and probate.
It’s hardly a coincidence that the same organisation paid for their accounts to be audited and for their property to be valued. Who else would you expect to pay?
When I needed a valuation for some property I hired a firm of surveyors and trusted the figure they came up with. I don’t remember...
Are you implying that companies and individuals such as surveyors and accountants regulated by professional bodies can so easily be “bought” in order to falsify legal documents ???
Well I’m glad someone understands it! Maybe you could enlighten me?
The stadium valuation was made by an independent group, accepted by HMRC and the EFL at the time. Was completed within the relevant accounting period. Allowed under the regulations.
I just don’t understand the EFL’s reasoning.
Surely the ‘actual value’ is what it was ‘independently valued’ at. By selling at market value that gives the club the £39m profit. Are the FA now saying that profits on the sale of assets aren’t now allowed in the calculation for FFP?
What if we sold a player contract to Royale Union...
I’m confused about this whole story - is the problem actually the sale of the stadium to the owner or the dates when the transfer actually happened?
If it’s the actual sale then why? We don’t own our stadium, TB does via The Community Stadium Ltd and Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club Ltd...
