I fully agree that the World Cup shouldn't have been awarded to Qatar for all the reasons stated. But I do think there is value in not just looking at Qatar as an isolated case but also considering our own situation and previous tournaments. A 2009 study showed that migrant workers in the UK...
Whilst we're on the whataboutery, could add that in 1966 in England homosexuality was still illegal, gay people were persecuted throughout society and the majority of the country considered it an illness requiring treatment.
As with your examples above, societies change, people change...
This will probably be the one we win now, with no one watching....
I would watch, except all of England's games except the first one are 2 in the morning kick offs out here, so sod that.
I can't imagine we'd let him go, not unless Moder is very close to return. One of Caicedo or Mac Allister goes down injured, Gilmour would likely be an ever-present in the side.
I think the players trusting De Zerbi and willingness to work with him is in no small part down to Potter and how he developed the players' mentality. I do think he left us in good shape.

Well, very sensible, don't change a winning team, but there are subtle changes.... Mitoma starting... Enciso got some minutes.... early days
Both things true.
I guess I always believed and I still believe that it will all click for Maupay one day and he has 20 goal seasons in him. When...
It was a decision based in part on Potter not wanting to start him any more. But a couple of games later he's gone and RDZ might have used him differently, could even have been the spark that Maupay needed. We'll never know but there's always that 'what if' when a player is transferred right...
Liverpool winning a lot of games and Brighton not beating Villa are two things that have happened a lot in recent years, but I will enjoy it if it comes to pass :)
I was watching that first 15 minutes on TV barely believing how well we were playing, thinking at the time that the result didn't really matter, so enjoyable was the watch.
As it was Wolves then scored two goals despite doing basically nothing, and we had to work hard to win the game, but...
