Gods country fortnightly
Need to pretty much go full strength for this one, maybe rest Adam L but that's about it.

A quarter final place awaits...

We shouldn't be playing anyone who is in with a chance of playing at the world cup. Not fair on them if they got injured in the League Cup. Fair enough to play them in the league. Apart from that, our best team

-----------------Steele
------Veltman Dunk Webster
Lamptey Lallana Gilmour March
----------Enciso Sarmiento
---------------Welbeck

Gross for Lallana at half time
Similarly Undav gets a bit of time on the pitch
A bit of time for Van Hecke if he's fit

Sarmiento and Lamptey are both going to the World Cup though.

Not much risk of fatigue for those two, mind you.
Looks like a reasonable eleven except I can't see Lallana starting.

Not fair on me never seeing us win a competition.

Best team possible.

I don't think we should be resting Lamptey or Sarniento because of the World Cup, I think they'd like the minutes if nothing else, and we could do with them playing.

I think Sarmiento and Lamptey would both appreciate a World Cup warm up game, as their game time so far this season has been limited.

Moises, Pervis Mitoma and Ali Mac should be rested for Sunday. I think there should be a good mix of youth and experience.

I would go with this as well:

———————Sanchez———————-
Lamptey—Veltman—Van Hecke—Colwill
—————Groß———Gilmour————-
—March——-Sarmiento——-Enciso——
———————-Undav————————

Maybe this.

I have a ticket for this as 20 minute journey to the stadium for me and hope we really go for it.

There’s no doubt that Arsenal will have better strength in depth, and I’d prefer that we rest players and focus on beating Villa. Going into the World Cup in the highest position possible would be great reading for those that look at the league table many times a day…..
Yup... all in on the league is the most sensible imho..

Call me cynical but I feel the cups these days are mainly a matter of "how much are you willing to sacrifice to go and lose 3-0 to City in a final?".

"Going for it" just costs more than it tastes.

A place in the last 16, alas.

I would have thought Arsenal will be resting most of their players. It's hard to judge the best plan for the game.

Are you having a dig ? I look at the table once a week.

Okay, maybe two or three times.

Okay, you're right.

I think this is one of the lower risk chances we have to give decent minutes to the squad outside the main first 11 players.

We do need to, they have to be in a position to be ready to play if someone is injured/suspended and all that will give them that is playing, players get rusty sitting on the bench all the time.
