Sorry, I should say the same service that was promised on Friday. I don't actually get the train for week day games (and never from Lewes), so I can't comment on the realities of what happened, only the service level SASTA promise.
They've gone for a blanket "Trains every 10 minutes between 5pm and 10pm" without actually looking at times. They need every 10 minutes between 5pm and 8pm, then the same again from 9.30pm and 11.30pm. That's the same number of hours of peak service delivered, but spread more evenly. However, I...
Looks like 15 trains from Brighton between 5pm and the last one that'll get you there for kickoff. Couple of spots where it's 15/20 minutes between trains, but plenty of capacity overall.
Coming back, there's 4 trains between 9.15 and 9.45, nothing till 10.15 and then 5 trains from 10.15 till...
It's not on the National Rail journey planner yet, but Southern Rails Twitter account says there are trains from Brighton to Falmer at 10 minute intervals, so you should be ok.
No, but it's on Southern's Twitter, and it take a little while to come through on the planner. Southern's current statement is trains every 10 minutes between 5pm and 10pm.
It will depend on the game, as you're now paying the full price, which is subject to category pricing. Should be somewhere between £10 and £20 (plus booking fee) I think, but will also depend on the cost of season ticket (renewed Season Tickets are cheaper and thus the upgrade will cost more).
Ernest, how does this differ from the current role of conductor? Obviously I don't know the ins and outs of what the technical definition is, and was wondering if you could provide some insight?
I also see the points marked "Further clarification on framework required", which I assume means...
Is there actually an out here for either side? This isn't a dispute about quantity of pay, hours worked or holiday (at least not on the fact of it), where there's some middle ground figure to be reached. Unless I've missed something, it's a binary choice. The RMT's proposal seems to be...
There is free WiFi at the Amex provided by The Cloud. It's generally pretty reliable in my experience, but by no means perfect. It can still get overwhelmed, which pretty much any system trying to cope with 20,000 odd people will.
They seem to have got rid of the signs in the WSU that tells you which tills take cards and which don't. I mean they should all take cards, but at least the signs gave you a bit of a chance of getting to the right till.
I also think I heard someone serve a family and tell them they could take...
Look to Brighton. The fact Southern have re-opened Falmer has not been reflected yet. You should be able to catch a shuttle service from Brighton to Falmer according to Southern. The shuttle services are running every 10 minutes, so you will likely have plenty of options once you get to Brighton.
