I'm going to risk something now and offer congratulations to whoever it is who has managed to sort out a sensible solution to tonight's crisis.

I presume the Club is still lumbered with the costs of hiring in all those extra buses, though.

Only what I suggested here a couple of days ago, get an 8 car train or 3, driver and guard and just run a shuttle from 5 till match time Brighton - Falmer - Lewes & return, load up and go and make sure the 8 coaches are packed before departing

It said yesterday on the club website that all parking spaces and seats were booked, I believe.

Thanks. I never got that far. Just organised Park & Ride for my mate and myself at Pyecombe for tonight and for West Hove on Tuesday, and now I see that the bloody trains are running!

Glad it's working for everyone, but a tad peeved to have had to leave work early in order to get my bike on a train and make a series of other arrangements so that tonight could happen. Still, Tuesday might now be possible, and as I say I am glad that many can now make it and get home again.

It shows trains from Newhaven to Brighton not stopping at Falmer now. Presumably these WILL be stopping...

National Rail showing bus replacements for 18.11, 18.41 but 19.06 is running. The 19.11 is rbs again

But the buses aren't mentioned on Nat Rail either?

19.04 and 20.04 look like trains rather than buses. The other times say replacement bus.

Top work by whoever at the club was responsible for kicking SASTA's collective butt and getting them to provide a far better than normal matchday service. 10 minute interval shuttles are the way forward! Strolled onto one that left Falmer with a half empty front couple of carriages and was back in Brighton before 10pm. Damn shame tho that the trains were only roomy and civilised at the expense of other fans having already made inconvenient and/or expensive alternative transport arrangements.

Well getting home was good. Straight onto the platform train comes in back in Lewes before 10 home by 10.45 via Hailsham.
