    The UK watershed

I believe the US shows rating for their TV shows, like films. That gives more of a guideline for parents etc... than just time.

Are we playing for 2nd place?

If we don't concede that late goal against Preston we're only a point behind them. Alternatively if they don't get those two late goal against Norwich then Norwich are top are we're only two points behind them. It's gonna be about incredibly fine margins, and while Newcastle are rightly...

    Thoughts on temporary travel arrangements

According to the journey planner there are 9 trains between now and kick off. Coming back there are, apparently, 8 trains between 9.45 and the last train at 11.50. Of course, these might all be four carriage trains, which isn't much good.

    [Albion] Pies for Preston

The club seem to have moved onto special pies lasting a month now. Pre-match brief confirms that they're the same for this game. Can also say that my friend had the veggie option and said it was delicious. Certainly smelled it.

Fish and chips at the Amex

I've had the chips there quite a few times. Good portion, not awfully priced (for a football ground), can have cheese and/or curry sauce if you want (for an extra £1), and always hot and tasty.

[Albion] Have YOU besmirched the good name of the club in any way?

If they'd put out just the bit that says "Hey, don't be a dick" it'd be fine. Adding the terms and conditions bit is just a dumb move.

    Southern Rail STRIKE details

There was a pretty huge Twitter backlash when Southern tried to pin everything on the Union last week.

That's why corners seem likely. Barber mentioned sight lines in his video and how it can be tricky to get that right.

    Bristol City away

Might do this if I can afford it. Potential house moving stuff going on, which'll put a big dent in my wallet.

    Southern Rail STRIKE details

So I've got to be in London for a conference next Thursday, which I believe is one of the strike days. Need to be at the o2 by about 9ish. Will it be worth attempting the train, or am I gonna be better getting the National Express coach? Going up to London Bridge by train seems best option (as...

i360 £12m now predicted in income. Seems like will be a big success.

While I understand many dislike it, it genuinely makes me smile every time I see it. Particularly when coming over the crest of Ditchling Road from the bypass.

    Brighton Comedy Festival

There was plenty of stuff during the comedy festival that was smaller acts who don't always film their stuff, and I think their were acts who did stuff alongside it in "unofficial" venues. Personally, I think there's a lot to be gained from the live experience as well. I genuinely find it...

    FA Cup goes further downhill

Portsmouth, Wigan and Man United last year by my reckoning. And United qualified for the Europa League by finishing fifth anyway.

    Kodi boxes to be banned?

Quoting the article So clearly they do. No one is stopping the sale of all boxes, just those with piracy stuff available from the off.

Number 23 bus after a match

It'll be difficult to say for tonight really. Much smaller crowd than usual, but no P&R and fewer trains means it's hard to predict how busy the buses will be. You've also got to factor in that University has restarted now, although the 23 is probably less likely to be busy with Freshers heading...

    [TV] Mrs Brown's Boys

Define "Watches Mrs Brown's Boys" I have watched it, but mostly at my parents' house. It's not a show I watch with any regularity.

Yet another laptop thread - this time down the budget end of the market.

Sorry, should be clearer! Google Cloud Print is a technology that lets you connect your printer to the internet. It's not on every printer that has Wi-Fi, you have to look out for the symbol on the box and Google has a list of those with official support. You hook the printer up to a Google...

Yet another laptop thread - this time down the budget end of the market.

If you have another computer you should be able to set the printer up via that with Google Cloud Print, or you can fork out £40 for a new printer that supports Google Cloud Print. But no, you can't just stick in a USB printer and go with Chromebooks unfortunately.

    USA Bombed This Weekend

If you can be sure a certain person is going to be somewhere it's a good way of covering up a murder, or multiple murders even.
