You can of course have a chairman who fails to disclose certain details to protect certain parties or the club itself (unlikely in this instance) or you can have a chairman who intimates that something has happened that led to the sacking of a promising young manager but who will not tell you what that is and just says ..............

THATS ALL FOLKS

He is probably threatening Wilkins with the confidentiality bit as well........
though I know Wilkins is an honourable man who would do nothing to hurt this club by telling tales out of school.

I know kids who get told off for thinking 2+2=5.

Any of that.

Doesn't necessarily make DK the criminal some are portraying him to be.

You also have no idea if DW has been sworn to secrecy or not.

dont matter
So why as of 6.00pm we have poll over the managers job which just over 57%of the people voting did so against Micky Adams?
But the question was who would you prefer as Brighton manager? Not would you sack Mick now?

I know kids who get told off for thinking 2+2=5.

So do I and I make it one of my jobs to try and educate them along my merry way even if they sometimes become tiresome in their failure to grasp rudimentaries.

TLO lets go back to the start, and to make sure you are keeping up, tell me why DK sacked Wilkins. No dont give me your explanation about events tell me what DK`s reasons were.

Brian, come back with something sensible and meaningful, especially as you have just contradicted yourself there.

If my memory serves me well

when there was criticism of Wilkins you backed him 100% now because DK said he wasnt right for the club you have changed your view and are no slagging him off saying it was right for him to get the sack.

I was not anti Wilkins but believe as K said that MA would be a better bet to take us forward but like most on here I am not happy with our tactics and performances at home this season.

If for some bizarre reason DK decides to sack MA next week you will be on he saying that it is the right decision.

Knotty I have no proof whatsoever that Wilkins is being gagged. Also lets get things straight here, Wilkins is not the first manager that has been sacked unfairly at this club in the many years I have been watching them so I can move on here. I`m behind Adams all the way but that does not mean I have to close my eyes.

I'm not closing my eyes either, but I need to see hard evidence of someone's guilt before I condemn them.

I'm happy with MA as a manger as I was with DW.

Exactly. What was Wlikins guilty of......?

Knight is guilty though, of thinking he can sack a promising young manager and allude to certain things, but not disclose anything of note.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I don't see myself as being anti-Adams, but perhaps I am over-critical. Whilst the sacking of Wilkins was perhaps unavoidable, it is frustrating as I felt we were relly moving forward on the pitch. He inherited a team that had Robinson, Revell, Hart and Gatting as our (im)potent strikeforce and it was always going to be a struggle for a rookie manager. We ended up being top of the also-rans and if it weren't for a dodgy christmas (losing key players) and a bit of a fixture pile up, then we may have sneaked into the playoffs.

One thing is for certain, I do think we need some greater experience in the dugout. None of them really have a sparkling CV and we should not leave things to chance. I am bored of League One.

Don't you dare call yourself an Albion fan. This is your usual Gulls Eye shit stirring. You never change do you? They have actually fallen for it too, and in a big way.

Ernest, take a leaf out of the Master's book.

Sorry keyboard warrior, you are actually who?

I will continue to call myself an Albion fan until the day they take me away in the hearse, and if wish to raise any issues with me you know where to find me on a matchday. There's a match tomorrow night,I'll be there from 6.30pm.

But hold on there Harty ........

You are privvy to information that many on here aren't and there are some things that you couldnt possibly divulge.

But I know and so do you that White and Wilkins were never close, never.

Wilkins had some reservations about his role and maybe even his overall quality, they neither socialised together and could never be considered mates, just colleagues at the most.

Now you must know that, I know that, yet you start a thread that you must know is not even close to the truth.

Why ??

I remember under Wilkins we all KNEW we were going to score if you get me. Everytime there was a corner we had the feeling we were going to score, and the same with a set peice. Under Adams i don't get that feeling...

In DK's eyes Wilkins must have been guilty of something because he would not have sacked him for fun.

Knight has every right to sack any manager and not disclose anything. That is the prerogative of any employer. If you think that is a crime then he is guilty. I don't happen to think that's a crime. If the manager of your local pub or supemarket were sacked would you think it a crime if the owners didn't make public the reasons why?

If I knew the reasons, I might think it a crime too. But I don't know.

So you can't follow anybody but the Albion then?

If that's the deal you'll be in a very small elite group at the Withdean Huple:thumbsup:

He has a point Al.

You do seems to be gravitating to the LI school of " I'm right and you are all not"

Says who?

From what I saw last season I would have said they had a very close working relationship.

Allright I've got a debate going, and to be fair its a full and frank exchange of opinions, but the crux of the argument is that I cannot believe how many negative vibes there are about Micky so early into the season.

For the record I believe he is the right man for the job and he will suceed, if he doesn't no doubt there will be a queue of people to remind me of my stance, but if and when he does how many of his keyboard critics will sink without trace into their snorkel parkas?
