i hope so. he didn't look very interested last season, didn't have the stomach for a fight. i think that's why i don't really like him. lack of commitment.
16/1 for dickinson sounds okay. don't think murrey will be around for long as he asked to leave from almost the day he arrived.
i reckon first choice strike pair will be forster and dickinson. if forster can get the form back from his first season with us that could be a superb pairing.
what's the obsession with kuipers and his kicking. mcghee used it as an excuse to drop him and it seems to have stuck.
how well a goalkeeper can hoof the thing down the pitch is irrelevant. He's there to keep the ball out the net. Plus don't we want our keeper to ROLL the ball out to a...
how many games have you seen him play? okay he may not always score but he's always classy so it seems strange to say he looked toilet. his technique is superb.
lynch can play left back plus is better bet at centre half than virgo so i presumed we'd keep hold of him until either jimmy mac is back or we'd signed a new left back. seems a bit odd to lose his services for just 200k as we don't really need the cash (how things have changed for us!).
as...
sad to see lynch go, especially at that price.
would have rather seen a straight swap for thornhill but if he does the business next season who cares who he belongs to as long as he stays the whole season - including the play offs of course
Ibra is great. flicks and tricks and loads of technical stuff that's great to watch. eto is also a class act but completly different sort of player. very direct, very quick, works harder. world class finisher. he's the player that owen thinks he is!
agree about hleb - he's avarage at best...
these are 2 players who couldn't break into mid table championship teams last year. harding was better than borrowdale and he was only okay. andrew is a mule. if it wasn't for him getting injured forster wouldn't have come off the bench and scored the winner against stockport to keep us up.
andrews was rubbish, borrowdale was okay but nothing more. it wasn't loan players that kept us up, it was because slade starting picking our OWN players - fraser, loft etc - who played with like they meant it.
point i was making is that if we start picking up and playing palace cast offs we're...
not smith or ifill becuase they are palace. i don't like it when we sign palace players or ex palace players, it waters down the rivalry a bit.
i don't really hate them but i enjoy the rivalry. its part of who we are!
people who live locally but only attend away games make me cross. if it wasn't for us STHs and occasionals putting our hands into our pockets and supporting the team at home there would be no club. plus if you're such a big fan, why don't you want to see your team play on your doorstep? Withdean...
the olympics will be good for one place only and that's london. let them get on with it, we've got plenty of good stuff happening in our lovely city as it is thank-you-very-much. don't need to try and hang on the coat tails of the olympics to feel good.
portsmouth on the other hand...
why can't we have a logo free blue and white home shirt - bit like west brom's from last season. just nice classic classy blue and white stripes with the old circular seagulls logo, and nothing more. away shirt should be yellow with some blue (but not stripes), like the early 80s number, also...
is that all we have to work on? that doesn't really convince me so i'm sticking with what i find far more believable, that adams wouldn't pick lynch for a league game in a million years.
we don't know this. just becuase adams and his apparatchik naylor said so does not make it true.
he wouldn't have been selected so how can he have refused to have played!
that sort of sums thing up. perhaps best to draw a line under this one for now. if he's superb next year nobody will care much what happened in the past anyway
