I would suspect that cards are far more secure than cash. Yes there are scammers out there but as long as you keep up with whats going on and are careful about using them and guarding your details they're fine.

Thanks for the concern by the way but any fraud that my card is subjected to that is not my own doing i.e. me giving people my details, is covered either by the bank or by my card insurance...
