I haven't been there but I would guess that the Barnsley area is quite socially deprived with high levels of unemployment, so 800 fans on a Sunday is probably a good turnout especially as it was a mid-table clash. Personally I don't have a problem with people clapping the away support especially...
I don't have enough points to post a link but a video clip on YouTube seems to show that Donald's penalty kick didn't actually go through the posts. Surely something like that couldn't happen in a World Cup Final could it?
I've been to the Mad Stad a few times but didn't notice them so perhaps this is something new? Being a council depot it will probably been closed on Boxing Day so may be the kites won't be there?
If Brighton ever play at Wycombe again you can see these (red kites) soaring high above the stadium. Best I've seen at the Amex so far is a kestrel hovering by the A27.
Credit where credit's due and from someone who been less than complimentary about Murray in the past so well done for posting this. I didn't join in with the w***** chants aimed at him at the Palace game given that he scored over 50 goals for the club including some important ones. If you...
Whether the Brighton fans made more noise or not doesn't really matter given the result. From where I was you could see the Ipswich fans behind the goal in the North Stand with their arms aloft though what noise they were making didn't seem to carry to where the away fans were.
It's everyone's first at the Amex! With the increased attendance this season and having not played them for 6 years, my guess is that a good two-thirds of the crowd will be Brighton v Palace virgins.
My guess is that the vast majority of Albion fans are decent law abiding people who have no interest in fighting and will slip away quickly after the game. At worst I see a handful of isolated incidents which the majority of people attending the game will not even see. Sincerely hope that I'm...
Reassuring to know that there are decent fans out there; pleased to hear that you got a good welcome from the Brighton fans. Would love to see Brighton play at Anfield one day!
If someone wants to clap I don't have a problem with that. What I couldn't understand was the handful of ignorant people behind me who booed Gerrard when he came on in the second half. There's nothing wrong with a bit of respect as the Peterborough fans showed earlier in the season in their...
Great to see CMS get such a warm reception from the Peterborough fans both before the game and when he was substituted. Somehow I don't think that Glenn Murray will get such a warm welcome when he returns here in a few weeks time despite scoring 56 goals for the Albion!:p
