Also to be fair it’s not much use until we know KO time, by which point the price will no doubt be much higher as the club will have bought a load of ticketsfair one , can see that now

Yup. And to the point someone else made about the Eurostar that's only more expensive until dynamic pricing kicks in. Just before our Europa League dates had been decided a flight from Gatwick to Amsterdam was cheaper than the train. Then, very quickly more expensive, then sold out. We took the Eurostar. As well as being available and comparatively priced it's basically four hours on a mobile bar and you can walk straight off at the other end instead of standing in Schiphol's 60 minute Brexit queue. Also to be fair it’s not much use until we know KO time, by which point the price will no doubt be much higher as the club will have bought a load of tickets![]()
I sat at the bak of the 02 Arena for a gig once. Spent the entire time watching the giant video screens because you couldn't see anything anyway. My idea of fun is to watch players larger than a centimetre in height.
A view of Newcastle in the fog does not come close to compensating for the extended distance from the playing surface.
My opinion of course.
I sat at the front at the London Stadium and did the same as youI sat at the bak of the 02 Arena for a gig once. Spent the entire time watching the giant video screens because you couldn't see anything anyway.
What did they claim the problems were?Never mind what arse time and date the kick off will be! Isn't it seriously time the football authorities insisted that away fans weren't tucked up in that top corner where you need oxygen and can almost see Hadrian's Wall? It's a piss take that all the other clubs comply and Newcastle have side stepped it for too long. Now just maybe originally there were genuine problems but they've had plenty of time to sort out and it's not like they don't have cash to spend.

….and the odd thing about that is it’s quite possibly the friendliest set of fans in the PL with one of the lowest risks of disorder anywayNewcastle have been given an indefinite exemption as they claim analysis of every option on putting away fans pitch side showed an increased risk of confrontation and disorder between opposing fans, especially when exiting the stadium.
I can't see how moving the away fans pitch side would increase the risk, anymore than it's a risk at any stadium, other than currently away fans exiting St James Park are probably too knackered to do anything else having walked all those stairs twice.
Agreed.I know it’s pointless to continue bemoaning the lack of consideration for fans who actually attend games but it’s near enough only two weeks now until the games are played and fans still don’t know when they’re happening. For anyone with significant travel it’s very poor!
I think that assumes that they care enough about fans to do this. It is completely totally achievable but needs all parties involved (including telly people) to give a toss. I just don't think they do.Agreed.
Whilst I appreciate they would want all fourth-round ties to play out first, in order to have a definitive set of fixtures to work with, there's really no excuse to not have had Plans A and B on Tuesday, waiting for Exeter v Forest to play out, that could have been announced first thing on Wednesday morning.
It's nonsense isn't it. You've still got to exit the stadium at some point whether you're in the Upper Tier or Lower Tier! They just don';t want to do it and as always the authorities are being weak and not enforcing it.Newcastle have been given an indefinite exemption as they claim analysis of every option on putting away fans pitch side showed an increased risk of confrontation and disorder between opposing fans, especially when exiting the stadium.

Tell that to the horses who've turned up at matches.….and the odd thing about that is it’s quite possibly the friendliest set of fans in the PL with one of the lowest risks of disorder anyway(until Sunderland get promoted anyway)
The Emirates FA cup is it not?I know it’s pointless to continue bemoaning the lack of consideration for fans who actually attend games but it’s near enough only two weeks now until the games are played and fans still don’t know when they’re happening. Don't forget that they can't possibly do a Risk Assessment until all the qualifiers are known.Agreed.

Go on then.
