i assume you are being sarcastic
In a way. Obviously they look at the potential TV audience first when selecting a game. Then they put the best games at peak times. Then they laugh at how fans will get to and from a game.
Newcastle is a lose lose game whatever the KO time. For some, Sunday is perfect for a weekend away Saturday night in town, back for work Monday.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why people said that - it was obviously going to be nonsense. Personally, I'd have liked a Fri or Mon KO as I have no intention of travelling. 1.45 on Sunday is the absolute worst time for me as I shall be pitch-side for our rugby match
Because the FA said it

The first train from Cumbria gets to Newcastle at 13.26. Good job the ground is close - but a 10 minute delay anywhere!

As poster earlier said - Saturday night in Newcastle is a very expensive stay. I was rather selfishly hoping for the 4.30pm Sunday match.

How about overnighting somewhere cheaper and travelling up from there?

Approx £150 to do a return flight from Heathrow. Early start though.

Will the new Amex fanzone be open for this game? No, I know it's away and no replays, but what an opening event, a beam back showing it live (it'll be on TV so not really a beam back).
Bound to be on in one of the lounges. What are the rules regarding advertising the game for fans at the club over selling away tickets?
Good idea dat. Doubt it'll be ready though.
