Freedom of speech works both ways, but as I pointed out in the thread about the Dutch weirdo, if it incites hatred and violence (as this clearly does) it shouldn't be tolerated.

Now which part of my statement do you not agree with? Are you suggesting our government was NOT democratically elected? Are you saying that those returning soldiers deserved that protest because they knew what they were doing was wrong or had a choice. Are you just dodging my point entirely for some reason or do you not actually agree with your own point but wanted to wind up bushy. I'm genuinely curious...
Incidentally, the right to protest is one of the reasons I am PROUD of my country. These weird self indulgent unprincipled twats doing the protesting are really no better than the worst type of National Front morons IMO. It's a necessary evil in our society I think. The alternative is much worse.

You need to take a look at the pictures of these protestors.
And then you need to re-read this thread to fully understand the general outrage. It's not the "anti war" protest that grates. It's not even the colour of their skin. It's the fact that they chose to take advantage of some fairly leniant views on the apparent possibility of civil unrest with respect to freedom of speech, and gob off in front of FOOT SOLDIERS.
I presume you (like me) were anti-war from the outset. Would you behave like that to returning troops? I doubt it, because it's shameful.
