He’ll completely bluff his way through this with a mixture of arrogance, excuses and false contrition…….and divert attention again. Rinse and repeat.

The Tories will be decimated in the local elections so MPs will want to repair any damage before the next GE.

I take the view that the tories have no intention of letting Boris fight the next election but are sitting and waiting before deciding who they get behind.

With Sunak their best chance of electoral success also floundering (incredible coincidence in the timing) their hand may be forced, but the lack of an obvious replacement which works for the 1922 committee and has a chance of being elected means I reckon they will be very tempted to string this out longer.

Other countries seem to be managing to hold elections during the Ukraine War - which could result in a change of party, let alone leadership. So, any excuse for not going along these lines is rubbish.

The thing I don't understand, is why anybody who is pro-Tory would NOT want him to resign? Surely even the staunchest Tory can see that they would come out of this far, far better without him?

Well,as a Tory voter, I most, certainly want him to resign and have said so on quite a few occasions on this forum.
A shocking man, not fit to be PM of this country.

How many teachers or nurses have 'bring a bottle to the staffroom, days'?

[tweet]1513898098245918730[/tweet]

The defence changes to 'He's not ignored the rules, he just didn't understand them.'

He didn't understand rules that he wrote and that he was telling people every night on television.

They're like four year olds with mouths covered in chocolate shamefacedly adamant that they didn't eat the cake.

Fabricant may be surprised to find that, unlike him, his colleagues and the nurses and teachers that he has just invented when backed into a corner, a lot of public sector employees are subject to drug and alcohol policies that could find them out of work if broken.

For which the British public voted, giving Boris a huge endorsement and a massive majority.

A lot of people need to take a long, hard look at themselves and accept they swallowed the lies fed to them by this utter charlatan.

It was awful to see a number of decent Tories ousted, but one reason that Johnson won such a large majority was because the thought of Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott etc. in charge of the country was for many, just too awful to contemplate.
I am sure that if Labour had a leadership that was more acceptable to the electorate, the majority would have nothing like 80 odd seats.
