cobblers thumb - also has the worst bogs ever.

Seafield i find i a good pub, best if you know one or two locals though!

The Cobblers WAS a GREAT pub until the new owners took over in FEBRUARY...only place I knew that you could bring you're own CD's to be played.

The Seafield is just an extension of the dozen or so half way houses in Seafield road

In the way that it's central so a good meeting point. Hence drinking in there a fair bit.

The layout is ridiculous.

I prefer the Waggon and Horses, even if it is expensive and full of weirdos.

The Branch Tavern, London Road.

Went in there last Saturday and felt like I'd just walked onto the set of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', but with more metalists.

They had a meat raffle too!!?

The Black Lion is shit since the refit a few years ago.

Old Orleans, awful cocktails and service. Not enough seats.

That place owned by the Majeeds. Hell Hole.

Dyke Road Tavern gets my vote.

Although the Thai food isn't half bad.

That was the Compton Arms and used to have a HUGE black dude pacing the floor inside muttering....something to do with a friend dying or summit......he was doing it for 5 years!

I never dared enter The Compton, go to the Couch sometimes. Absaloutley no atmosphere in there at all. The last time I was in there they were playing a pirate dvd of Ghost Rider on their telly.

Compton Arms - that was it!

I always wondered where the various oddballs who drank in there went when it re-branded to Couch

The Bell is a trendy wine bar now

It might have had a lick of paint but sadly the punters have not had an overhaul. I went in there a few weeks back and there was a group of old blokes moaning about how it is easier to build a mosque than it is a hospital these days. New paint, same old shit hole.

There is a terrible pub on St James st, near the middle, cannot recall what it is called. they serve beer for £2 a pint which is what tempted me in. Crappy paper signs in the window made with yellow highlighters advertising cheap beer. It is about 20ft square and looks like everyone has moved out. there were three old fuckers in there and a pikey with blood on her face. Did not finish my pint.
