I think even the worst of our locals would struggle to beat one I mistakenly went into in Gillingham once.

I swear the duelling banjos started up when we walked inside.

It was called, somewhat inspiringly, "The Pub".

Think this survey depends on what you mean by "worst".

If you're talking complete khazis- rough, run down, music-stops-playing-when-a-stranger-walks-in type establishments, then it'd have to be ... the Hikers' Rest

Oi, that's my local. Nothing wrong with the HR, Tony Towner drinks there.

On the ocean wave
1. Couch. 7 Dials
2. Good Companion. 7 Dials
3. Gardens. North Laine.

Couch is a rough pub trying to be a trendy bar & doesn't actually carry off either!

I'm off to my local, the Prestonville Arms, there must be a quiz! :drink:

Ditchling Road has the most pubs on any road in Brighton(7).

However...the majority are SHIT...

The Stanmer....say no more.

The Jolly Brewer....another ice age could occur and that lot wouldnt notice.

The Roundhill...soulless student pub.

The Northern Tavern...previously mentioned

The Druids....Another scabby looking place.

The Bat and Ball...Seriously weird place

Caroline of Brunswick(formerly Leek and Winkle). For the yuppie Hobgoblin-ites.

7 Pubs...none worth visiting...typical.

I enquired about The Snipe it is up for a 12 month rental ata very low rent, which I thought about but her indoors who has to be obeyed said DEFINITELY NO. Is it that bad or just a bad reputation that arseholes have tried to follow.

whats The New Bush like, my dad and his mates own it and transfored it from a restaurant to a pub. Not in the best of locations but at least they've banned the local yobs.

Never been in since it's been opened, and just wanted to know if anyone had been in there yet?

Was in there a few weeks back as the missus lives over the road, was a saturday and they had some shite singer and I had some little twattwattwattwat trying to sell me some sniff it was full of hawkers all under 25 and I won't be going back again.

The Wandering Hen just off Shaggybeard Twitten.

The name promises so much, but a distinct lack of nut-brown ale served in wooden tankards (with leaves and twigs on top and stuff) and no Shove Ha'penny board lead this establishment to be a pedestrian experience at best.
