Surely you've got to include the Northern Tavern (now closed) ....

The manager from The Conqeror's just moved in there, re-opens early May, never went in there before but there's supposed to have been a major refit

Surely you've got to include the Northern Tavern (now closed), the Bat and Ball and any Wetherspoons.

My mate's just taken over the Northern Tavern, reopening soon.....

If you don't include every single pub on West St I think the Hop Poles is bad just for being up itself.

Grand Central is pretty dire, but strangely has good theatre upstairs and nice roof terrace.

Mash Tun is another pub that fills up with scenester wankers.

Yes the food is good.

I do drink in the Mash tun from time to time but th epeople put me off a bit. No offence I am sure I would enjoy a pint witcha.

Roof terrace is only way to drink in GC.

Pretty much a given there Chappers.

I do like the Hop Poles though. Can take or leave the Mash Tun.

The Providence and Palmera (sp?) are the worst 2 I have been in.

the buiscuit factory is paticuarly pooh,dirty and expensive although the grenadier is my idea of hell,dont know how its survived with the miserable landlady for so long
