They will remain part of the most successful trading bloc in the world. They’ll be looked after just fine. I like us, who’ll be all at sea with only Uncle Trump to turn to. In exchange for the NHS of course.

Meanwhile, on planet earth........

I shouldn’t think so. I have land, property, a good job and a good wage. Savings, pensions and support.
It’s people without work who rely on state handouts that are really gonna be in the shite. I don’t know anyone in that position I don’t think but I don’t envy them. Dark days ahead for benefit recipients. A Tory Hellscape of food banks and reduced welfare.
If you know anyone in that position, keep an eye out for them. It’s gonna be hard.

But if Israel are committing atrocities, and you don't criticise their cause, doesn't that make you a terrorist sympathiser?

Political landscape is a minefield for these things.

You mean the same way British and American forces committed atrocities in the war in Iraq and Syria or the atrocities committed by the Russian army in Crimea etc or the Chinese army etc the list goes on and on. Almost all armies have committed atrocities during wars or conflict. What is wrong and anti Semitic is to always call out Israel and ignore all the other countries armies. At least Israel has the excuse that it is constantly on a war footing because many of its neighbours and their proxy armed groups want to attack and destroy Israel.

Well, bully for you. :clap2:

Absolutely, 'bully for him'. Someone who is going to be insulated from the worst effects of the economic and social catastrophe we're about to unleash on ourselves, is to be thanked and applauded for bothering to still rail against it.

Nationalised railways here in Spain. Don't think I've ever experienced a delay or cancellation. There's a seat for every passenger, wifi, charging points, entertainment systems, a bar....Oh, and high speed lines connecting major cities. And all for a reasonable price.
That surely cannot be true. Why are you making it up?

Everybody knows that nationalised railway services cant work properly because they don't benefit from the efficiency provided by market forces.

Next there'll be a lunatic along claiming that health care accessible to all can be effectively provided as part of some sort of government funded nationwide service.

If only we had a leader that consistently saw these consequences of a foreign policy of guns before diplomacy. One who'd consistently voted against conflict and bombings. There must be a leader who regardless of their party being in government or not, they stood by these peace first principles.

If Scotland go to the ballot box and elect a huge majority of SNP MPs and members of the Scottish Parliament again, then democratically I don't think any party will be able to ignore the call for another referendum at some point.

Think that alone is not enough, but get a hard right Conservative government hell bent on no deal end of 2020 and its as good as game over for the UK.

Remember the Scots were told told in 2014, stay in the UK and stay in the EU.

Claim betrayal plus lure English companies for CU / SM access and its an easy sell second time around

If you are too passive like Corbyn, other countries will take the piss. You need to be seen to be strong or you can’t negotiate . Corbyn is absolutely not the answer. He doesn’t have the intellect , policies or morals.

Landed, loaded and learned.

What a guy.

Genuinely not loaded. Had a dad that left the Navy and worked hard to leave me something, I have worked hard to make the most of that. I didn’t go to Uni, I gained professional qualifications that enabled me to earn as much as I can with no degree.
I’ve been put in hospital, spat at, sworn at, shot at and stabbed in the knee, neck and chest, dealt with suicide attempts, self harmers , heroin overdoses through my profession so I don’t consider anything came to me easy.
I work hard and I aim to protect that. Sorry if you find that offensive. Give a shit.

People like you who have bought into the anti-Corbyn campaign wholesale will never see any good in anything he does. Therefore debate with you is pointless.

Your mob wanted us to tell the EU to **** off and just crash out, go in hardball on negotiations, telling them to shove it up their arse. Look how that hasn't worked. You don't understand negotiation anymore than a dog understands a card trick.

Not true, I gave him credit for initially saying he would respect and enact the referendum result (shame he has reneged on that commitment ). People like you are willing to overlook anything (antisemitism, terrorist associations, fantasy manifestos, anti-west/NATO) as long as you get 'free' broadband /a second referendum.

That's never been my position but as we know your relationship with the truth is rather erratic. *NEWSFLASH* Being prepared to walk away from negotiations is essential or the other side knows you will always fold in the end. May was never prepared to walk away and the EU knew the HoC would block Boris from doing so therefore your statement is bollox. Nicely diverted away from the topic of antisemitism though ... I will add it to the list.

Johnson is repeating Theresa May’s “strategy errors” and would soon find himself “unwisely boxed in by his campaign promises".

“In practice, this prime minister is, for all his talk of getting Brexit done, now basically replicating the strategy errors of 2016 and 2017, which brought his predecessor down. This is diplomatic amateurism dressed up domestically as boldness and decisiveness.”

- Sir Ivan Rogers, former UK Envoy to the EU

:moo:

The current figures, some of which were highlighted last evening, might give cause to disagree.

So economic figures which suggest Scotland wouldn't be able to work as an independent country are to be believed, but economic figures which suggest the UK won't be able to work outside the EU aren't?

Oh right. Is Boris Johnson, who studied at Eton and Oxford, being ignorant or is he is fully aware of what he's doing when he writes articles about muslim women looking like letterboxes and calls black people piccaninnies?

Edit: for balance yes Labour does have an issue with anti-semitism. Whether the Chief Rabbi should come down so harshly against them over the whiter than white Tories is questionable, though, to say the least.

I think the Tory problem (big by the way) is more down to age, class, background and upbringing. But I don't think it's "political" and not isn't much value in comparing the two. Where some in the left have been weak is thinking they are being accused of a "right wing" form of antisemitism. They haven't.

Boris has a long history of provocative journalism which is his style and he has encouraged in others as an editor. Completely indefensible, but I suspect he's forgotten what he's written (or said) within minutes of posting. Unfortunately for him there is a huge pile of historic crap with his name on it and should publicly apologise not just for the effect but his actions.
