Real change, oh you mean nationalising the railways so they have no incentive to run on time because their state owned and no one can complain.

Nationalised railways here in Spain. Don't think I've ever experienced a delay or cancellation. There's a seat for every passenger, wifi, charging points, entertainment systems, a bar....Oh, and high speed lines connecting major cities. And all for a reasonable price.

Oh you mean massively increasing tax on hard working parents who may want to leave their house or flat to their children. ( heaven forbid ) oh you mean getting rid of our nuclear deterrent so we are a sitting duck for every loony dictator out there oh and give squatters more rights to break into people’s property and not get thrown straight out. Oh yes change under Corbyn will be great if you are workshy , jealous of other people’s success and are happy to live in a country where the state monitor your every move because they own the internet provider you are using. I suggest you go live in Venezuela if you like Corbyn and his extreme socialism so much.

Their state owned what?

From the Chief Rabbi:

Quote:
“I am delighted to congratulate Boris Johnson, a longstanding friend and champion of the Jewish community, on becoming the next leader of the Conservative Party and our next Prime Minister. As he accepts upon himself the mantle of responsibility to lead our nation, may he be blessed with the wisdom to successfully navigate the political uncertainties we face and bring healing and prosperity to our great country.”

Funny how this comes after the Labour manifesto's intent to ban arms to Israel ???

There does seem to be a bit of love in with Bojo...

I wouldn't respond with whataboutism to claims about antisemitism without your frankly laughable statement above. Just because it isn't in your face from the media, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Baroness Wasri, former chairperson of the Conservative Party and now member of the House of Lords must be wrong then when she says "institutional Islamophobia within the Conservative Party"

and none of the main press jumping on Tory incidents of antisemtism...

Jewish Labour supporters have very little voice at the moment as their own faith is marginalising them. But there is a strong Jewish movement still within the Labour Party. No one is saying Labour have handled the issue antisemitism at all well, but the vilification and attacks are quite something. The chief rabbi at the very least should explain his support of the Tory Party, and his friendship with Boris Johnson. A religious leader getting this involved in secular election requires balance and honesty and he's not done that.

I'll finish with the #jews4labour movement...

The Tories the party that have dehumanised migrants, deported black British citizens and led a referendum campaign which deliberately terrified voters with fake prospect of 76m Turkish immigrants.

When it comes to racism, they do well to keep their heads down

Remarkable really. The Tory's point their finger, their supporters lap it up and all the time they are getting away with endless counts of racism. Racism that can be proved, racism that can be cited. Unlike these vague accusations aimed at Corbyn. The Tory's know their supporters well. Thick as mince and easily led.

Sure because you talk to large numbers of Jewish people on a regular basis don’t you and as a result you understand this issue far better than the chief rabbi !

Questioning the motives of anyone criticising Labour about antisemitism is just one of many diversionary tactics used by people wishing to downplay this issue. Others include the 'it's not really antisemitism just criticism of Israel line' and the oft used 'whatabout Islamophobia/the Tories'.

I think it's about time the Chief Rabbi, the Jewish Labour movement, Jewish Labour MP's who left the party in disgust, the people within the Labour party making hundreds of complaints, the Jewish UK press, the many in the Jewish community who fear a Corbyn led government should all take heed and realise (according to quite a few on NSC) it's not really all that bad and they don't really understand what antisemitism is....

Deepest, darkest Sussex
Dominic Raab was called a "coward" by the friends and family of Harry Dunn as they were left outside of a constituency hustings.

The 19-year-old died in a crash in Northamptonshire in August that led to the suspect leaving the UK claiming diplomatic immunity.

His family had hoped to put pressure on the foreign secretary who attended the event at a packed church in Surrey.

A member of staff at the church said they were kept out due to fire safety.

The Conservative Party has been approached for comment.

Yet, there are Jewish groups who dismiss accusations of anti-semitism and fully support Labour. Must be very confusing for Tory supporters. People having differing opinions without resorting to accusing them of being racist or having dementia. The Jewish people in my family don't support Corbyn particularly but don't think he is anti-semitic and believe it's dirty tricks by Tory's that trivialises Jewish oppression. Who knew!?

Goodness. Two successive posts accusing two different people of extremism. What a shouty world it is.

But are they not biased? Corbyn could have dealt with the complaints better certainly but a lot of what has been raised is pretty short on facts or related to critism of Israel. I imagine all the group's above would prefer a leader who is less supportive of Palestine. They don't seem concerned about any anti-Semitism levelled at the Tories or any other racism

I am not racist. I am not anti-semitic.

I believe you, and I suspect this is the case with most of the posters on here defending Labour on anti Semitism. The problem is that it can come across as dismissive of the what is a very serious issue. The argument that Corbyn is not anti semitic but has been too weak a leader to expunge it from the labour party is, to me, a reasonable one and probably close to the truth. The argument that there is a conspiracy of Jews, the media, business making it all up for political or financial gain smacks of 1930s Nazism and terrifies me.

Its a really difficult one for us all to debate because the subject is rightly so sensitive. But for any of us to try and dismiss the issue as a fabrication is surely wrong?

(and by the way, I share your general thoughts about religious institutions (very different from people with a faith) and power and wealth. There is no wealthier organisation that the C of E and yet they are a charity and the first building outside the official entrance to the house of commons is their head office!)

I suppose if I had recently been the recipient of a £14m security grant from the Tory party, I too might come out in favour of them and against their opposition. As I say, follow the money.

Who, all of them? Saying that I imagine all the groups mentioned would prefer a leader that hadn't shared a platform with (and call friends) rabid antisemites.
