To score from the Windies in the 70's, you just had to hit the ball forward. All their fielders were usually behind the wicket, other than a short leg. 4 slips, 2 gullys, deep square leg, fine leg, short leg. But, I say "just".......Not even getting hopes up because all we are going to get is another barrage of this when England bat, it’s literally impossible to score off it..
Q to anyone old enough to remember (as a 90’s baby) apparently these tactics were fairly common in the 80’s, how did teams combat it then? It just seems impossible to score from without taking risks that will eventually get you caught.
