Rather stick needles in my eyes, but that's just my opinion... anyway, carry on.

Go,get slightly pissed if you need to and just go in a church, provided it's not locked, and just marvel at the architecture if nothing else...

Im afraid the churches are one generation from being wiped out and turned into houses or flats. no one goes anymore. I'm afraid to say more people go to mosques in this country nowadays than churches.

As was said. People go just to get into schools. Have you seen the morons that go to be on songs of praise???

I just find it sad that so many so called christians only ever go to church at christmas. Somewhere nice to sign carrols i guess. Go in feb there will be 6 people in the congrigation if you are lucky.

Perhaps restrict your opinions to something you know anything about, eh?

You're talking nonsense.

Absolute bollocks. Don't know what else to say really.

Except that of COURSE there are often more people there at Christmas. Like many things (e.g. Albion games apart from this season), lots of people only make time in their lives for it on the big occasions, but it doesn't mean that they don't count.

Also, take a church with a parish of 200 people. For all sorts of reasons, people can't go every week, so on average people might miss 1 in 4 weeks or something like that. Whereas at Christmas, there are few other distractions. Therefore, you might walk in throughout the year and see 100-150 there, and then see all 200 at Christmas, but you'd be mad to conclude that the other 50 or so have just turned up for the one time a year.

So all the churchs you know are packed every sun then.? ???

Well, I only really know one, but honestly (and I was actually given the job of counting the people there for some sort of census the other week), yes. It is a standard Catholic Church (St Joseph's in Elm Grove) and I'd say on a Sunday there are 80-odd there at 9am, 150+ (with people standing at the back as there are no seats left) at 11.30am and a good 50+ at 5pm.

Not all, but plenty are. Our local parish conducts 6 masses every weekend, across 2 churches. Most are full enough for some people to need to stand. That's just the Catholic ones - of course there are many other Christian churches in the area, too.

Church attendance is actually higher now, than a decade ago in most parts of the country.

You're basically talking rubbish and making yourself look like a retarded bigot. Happy Christmas though.

I really don't think that most people who celebrate Christmas and call themselves christian go to church once a month. Are you sure.?
