Certainly not, but respect the choice of those who do.

No need for insults or name calling on either side of this debate IMO.

I don't believe in god so no. Having said that I have ten times more respect for people who go to church every week than turn up once a year.

Midnight mass at St Pauls Haywards Heath.

Jim, I do not think there has been a midnight mass at St Pauls for a few years now. Last Service is at Nine this evening, I believe.

This is a strange thread. OP has asked who is going and the majority of people are replying to say they are not. When we get the usual threads of who is going to Saints, Reading, Coventry etc you usually only get replies from those that are actually attending..

Still. Carry on.

its Yule. if you're a Christian, whats the point of this expensive pagan winter festival? nothing about consumerism, feasting or trees in the nativity story. there is no refernce to the time of year, its simply a matter of convenience to schedule it now.

I wasn't strictly talking about the Christian festival, just surely it has to have some meaning to be worth doing?

Im afraid the churches are one generation from being wiped out and turned into houses or flats. no one goes anymore. I'm afraid to say more people go to mosques in this country nowadays than churches.

Complete balderdash and piffle
