Jim, I do not think there has been a midnight mass at St Pauls for a few years now. Last Service is at Nine this evening, I believe.

This is a strange thread. OP has asked who is going and the majority of people are replying to say they are not. When we get the usual threads of who is going to Saints, Reading, Coventry etc you usually only get replies from those that are actually attending..

Still. Carry on.

Thanks for the tip! Would have been embarrassing to get there 2 hours late! Ended up going to Worth. Not been there before and very impressing building, nice service.

I do not think it is hypocritical to be a christian and not go to church. One of the good things about religion is that you can be religious in your own way and be as devout, or not, as you choose. I see it more as a way of living and leading your life, and for some that involves church attendance.

By the way, I'm not religious but I respect others who are and I can also see that a lot of benefit, community and value can be taken from it.

Actually, you can be even more personally devout, and direct about your spirituality without going to congregate with others and be directed in how to manifest it, the way to pray, or the words to sing.
Every church is different, according to the preacher, so it isn't necessary to take in a version that's nearest to your house! (in my opinion)

Actually Catholics should attend Mass every Sunday or else they will be in a state of Mortal Sin and will thus go straight to Hell if they die.

I've seen them, loads of Cathlicks all surging down the street singing. Calling themselves the Sunday Mass-ive.
Never knew where they was off to.
Wonder what they do when they get there, this Hell place they're all going?

You'll find with Catholics that once the average Catholic learns how to think for themselves they do one of two things, they either stay unswerving in the belief that all the dogma they get force fed is absolute;y true or else the consider what a load of hypercritical bollox the whole concept is, guess which path I took ! It does surprise me though the number of Catholics that only go at Christmas, the irony as much as anything else being that Christmas is by no means the most important feast. Easter, Good Friday and Accentuation being far more important.

Anyway, enough of this religious stuff.

More and more people are leaving the church. And returning to God.

Well if it was the big bang then where did the big bang come from? That's my logic, how could something so big like the universe be created from absolutely nothing?

Okay then, while you're at it tell us where God/Allah/Buddha/any other deity came from ?
