Gash.

SA will score about 350 on this pitch.

We shall see.

However the Beeb's live thingey said this about the pitch this morning;

1116: Eng 8-0
First glimpse of Fred on the England balcony as Macca Ntini zips in to Cookie. The old stager drops short and is cut away by the doe-eyed opener for an uppish four to the fence. Decent amount of bounce in the track so far - looks like a tough 'un to bat on.

It is certainly not a 200 pitch, maybe 300. Vaughan, KP, Bell, Flintoff and Broad all paid poor shots, as if they were playing on Lords still. Just needed to dig in a bit I reckon.

what a GREAT two footed challenge!

Pattinson looks like an INSPIRED selection

3 - 0 -16 - 0 and already replaced by Flintoff

and why is that Park sub on when the innings is only three overs old.

Not on, old boy, not on at all

Vaughan almost caught amlar, convinced he did, amlar convinced he did, we appealed, Bowden gave out. amlar walked off to the dressing room, got to tthe boundary.

Graham Smith sent him back out to the middle saying he was not out, Hamlar walked back, spoke to Bowden, Bowden referred it, given not out

Bowden didn't give him out the first time, Amla gave himself out. He walked, accepted the decision and should have gone.
