Is supplying weapons a massive risk? Countries have done it up to this point (not just this war) and no one has ever talked about nuclear weapons being the answer. It just seems like standard Russian threats. If this really is how they want the world to end, no one can stop them, but I'm sure plenty of them want life on earth to continue. And what about China - are they worried this will lead to nuclear war? If so, they need to talk sense into Putin - if not, then presumably they know it's a bluff.

Can we not also say it's a risk to not supply them? If fear for what he'd do if the West showed such weakness and backed down while he committed genocide.

Given the importance of May 9 in Russia there is likely to be a big push and even more civilian massacres coming shortly from the evil ******* as he gets desperate.

Stopping the supply of weapons to Ukraine cannot and will not happen.

We are on the cusp of something even grimmer imo

I think we are stuck in an intractable war with a madman that we can't back out of. The weapons have to keep coming to Ukraine as we can't escalate to the level of boots on the ground. The poor Ukrainians have to stop Putin from achieving any sort of victory because, as we have seen, he will try to take a bite out of another regional country if he gets the chance.

Putin has to lose, there has to be regime change, there can then be some way of trying to reintegrate a Putin Free Russia in to the political and economic world.

The Ukrainians are absolute heroes.

The Sun is reporting that Putin is to undergo surgery for abdominal cancer. Can we bung the medical team a few quid to accidentally over or under do the GA, list him for a bilateral orchiectomy and give him placebos instead of pain relief?

'Block off this industrial area so that not even a fly can come out' - Putin giving orders to Shoigu a week ago.

But today, we learn that between 80 and 100 civilians have been allowed safe passage out of the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol.

Something has caused Putin to change his orders.

I think he’s understood that he will be remembered as nothing more than a pathetic, barbaric, reprehensible, immoral thug if he doesn’t let civilians out. He has a far higher opinion of himself.

Let the civilians out and then a tactical nuke on the soldiers left? That’ll give him his 09 May “celebration”, the eventual complete capture of Mariupol and the release of all the Russian soldiers there to join the fighting in Donbas

Nah, even he’s not that nuts is he?

He might use Thermobaric missiles or phosphorus bombs to try to wipe out the defenders that remain. Remember, Putin does whatever he wants, normal rules do not apply.

I think the UN involvement has shifted the reality, cease fires to allow civilians to leave were always supposedly agreed to, they just didn't happen in reality.

I know it’s no surprise but the Russian leadership really are scum;

‘Israel outrage at Sergei Lavrov's claim that Hitler was part Jewish’

In Russia, less is made of the concentration camps of Jews operated by the Nazis, and the destruction of European Jews outside of Russia, they focus on the Nazi identification of Slav's and Russians as Sub-Human, and the atrocities this ideology allowed Nazis to visit upon Soviet people and troops. To be fair, we rarely mention the 3 million Soviet POW's murdered and count the Russian Jews as victims of the holocaust because they were Jewish, whereas in Russia they count them more as Soviet citizens slain by the Nazi's, Stalin later went on to persecute and murder Zionists in Russia looking to make a homeland for Jews in Crimea.

Lavrov is well aware of his historical fabrication and victim blaming. On the plus side Sky News were speculating earlier that Israel may abandon their middle man role and supply offensive weapons to the Ukrainians. Every cloud and all that.

Don't these di*khead retarded Russians think through their actions before they make them. It beggars belief.

I know, but the way the history has been portrayed in USSR and now Russian Federation, it is possible to sell that lie, which is totally ridiculous to the rest of the world.

Getting even more sinister;

https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...pports-neo-nazis-row-over-ukraine-2022-05-03/

‘Russia says Israel supports neo-Nazis in row over Ukraine’

There will be receptive ears to this all over the world, including in the UK.

Indeed. The threats, veiled or otherwise, are coming thick and fast. Some of the stuff being discussed on Russian state TV now is right out there. It's off the scale rhetoric. Nuclear strikes, 500 m tsunamis, you name it. It's as if their state TV is controlled by an insane tyrant who is using it as a proxy to issue threats in an attempt to stop the world helping Ukraine.
