And Musk claiming Ukraine will inevitable lose and talking up consequences of cutting off Starlink.

The meat grinder would stop if Putin gave a shit about his army. He could also choose to go home. Ukraine have no choice if they want a country. If they stop their women raped and children stolen. f***ing c##t.

Stick with USA or f*** them off and go alone with Europe?

doesn't need to choose. once the mineral deal is signed, US have to put up or expose some deeper problem. either this was all "art of teh deal" and get full backing from US, or US continue to back off from support and US President and office appears compromised by foreign power. Europe say they'll back Ukraine either way.

That’s like saying “if I sign this contract, I’ll find out if they intend to connect me to the network”. It’s a dumb thing to do.

If Ukraine signs a mineral deal, it’s clear that what comes next is more pressure to surrender to Putin’s demands. If Ukraine signs anything, it becomes harder to back out again when the exploitation and abuse continue.

Trump or Europe? That's not even a choice. It might as well say Putin or Europe.

I agree..... like a husband that beats his Mrs whilst openly shagging the abusive next door neighbour, is now telling you.....

if you ever want to eat again, you have to first make me exactly the dinner I want, in the way the next door neighbour prefers it cooked, but im not telling you what that is and I reserve the right to change it anyway.

I think the problem is that, if such a deal is signed, it could be months before any US contractors are on the ground in Ukraine - so it could be a very long time before we get to see if the US really puts up some packing, you know "... Ukraine is delaying the exploration and other deals, why should I defend them...".

That is a worryingly specific metaphor 🤔
