That’s like saying “if I sign this contract, I’ll find out if they intend to connect me to the network”. It’s a dumb thing to do.

If Ukraine signs a mineral deal, it’s clear that what comes next is more pressure to surrender to Putin’s demands. If Ukraine signs anything, it becomes harder to back out again when the exploitation and abuse continue.

Yes please,,,, EVERY organisation that we would not have Russia in, are the organisations Europe (plus Oz etc) should exclude the US from. Just work around them and isolate them.

I think the problem is that, if such a deal is signed, it could be months before any US contractors are on the ground in Ukraine - so it could be a very long time before we get to see if the US really puts up some packing, you know "... Ukraine is delaying the exploration and other deals, why should I defend them...".

Disagree. It’s vital for Europe to have as many countries in its coalition as possible. We are potentially heading for Trump & Putin standing opposite Europe.
