Trump is systematically disabling Ukraine's ability to defend itself.
…and trying to obstruct other nations as well.

Really, I know there must be fevered planning happening at every level of every European government on how to move away from US entwinement and that this needs to be done quietly…

…but it’d be great to have Starmer come out and tell Trump very publicly and in that very British diplomatic way to f*** the f*** off.

The big problem we have is that the international order has been built on the basis that the world would always be led by rational actors, hence why many of our international organisations and institutions are now on their knees

But we don't even know anything about any peace deal. This all seems to be to force Ukraine to enter the 'minerals deal' to benefit the US. What is this 'peace deal' that's being offered to Ukraine to accept??

The rest of that article is quite depressing, and somewhat scary.

I think the 'peace' deal will be like this:

Sign this piece of paper that cedes territory to Russia.

Do not join NATO. Demilitarize, hold elections, enshrine neutrality in constitution.

That's it. Trump does a victory lap for 'stopping the killing' 🤮

BTW, I have binned off Google/Chrome and am now using 'Ecosia' - a German search engine. I'm trying to find European alternatives for all Google products. I already use Proton email (Swiss) and have just discovered a Dutch alternative to Google maps - 'HERE WeGo' .
Thanks for the heads uo about here we go I will give it a whirl.

my wife uses Wayze but it doesnt show waterways and stuff which i find useful for photography.

Another day, another despicable Trump attack on Ukraines ability to fight off Putins genocide.

Has America started bombing Ukraine yet or did I miss that?
Europe needs to plan to avoid any military purchases from the US - I know that will take time but it needs to be done.

Absolutely.... European leaders are being too polite (or fearful)...they still hope he's going to pivot back. They need to call out Trump as a Russian asset.

The good thing about this is that there are plenty of US military nutcases with access to guns who will resent this move.
And Trump might be in the firing line (literally). We live in hope.
Yep. Trump must be really pi**ing off a whole lot of the US Military, the CIA and the FBI.
Spent their whole careers concerned about the Russians, and now being told they need to be best of friends.
Just putting a few yes men at the top of each tree, may not be enough to really stoke the fires.
Then again, there will be many Trumpians in the ranks who think it’s great to be doing bigger all

Is it really too much to suggest that the USA may be heading for Civil War?

At the moment most of the American public are sleep walking into the future - just a reminder that Trump said during his campaign,"it's the last time you'll need to vote," . I mean wow... even Putin has 'elections'.
Military coup would be tidier.
Given the 500 million guns in public hands, a civil war could get messy.

We're a long way from that though IMO. Lots of Americans will even be enjoying the theatre of watching Trump's team in action: wealthy people feeling secure, poor people too busy running three jobs.

It's clear the US is now being run as a Mafia state. I seriously think the previously decent guys (possibly Kellogg) who've found themselves in Trump's circle of power fear for their lives (and their families) if they say the wrong thing or resign.

Welcome aboard Turkey !

So that makes:

Ukraine - unparalleled experience of repelling Russia in an asymmetric war
Britain - nuclear deterrent
France - nuclear deterrent
Germany - manufacturing capacity
Turkey - large military
Poland - highly motivated border nation
Plus any other willing European country.
Don't forget Canada and Aus have also said they would help out.

According to Ryan McBeth, Russia has lost the war.

In that video Ryan mooted the idea of Zelenskyy stepping down in exchange for US weapons. That's the daftest idea I've heard for a while. Right now, the US can't be trusted. There's nothing to suggest the US wouldn't renege on that deal as soon as Zelenskyy had gone. Zelenskyy must stay.

do you remember when we were a few years younger, there was the beastie boys led fad, where kids were vandalising and nicking VW badges.

Something similar with Teslas might happen one day! Maybe engraved swastikas on them would send sales tanking further.

Of course I'm not endorsing vandalism or direct action of any kind..... no really.
Well look at that..... just 1 day later!
