why would Trump be saying that, why would aides being leaking it? seems a lot of reporting is reinforcing preconceptions. this one doesn't make any sense, if Trump doesn't want to support Ukraine he can simply stop supporting them (as apparently has done) and face the consequenes. if he does the mineral deal, and doesn't support Ukraine, US is seen as a dishonest broker and untrustworthy. eitherway, how does Trump benefit?
And you think his actions to date haven’t made him a dishonest broker?!

It makes perfect sense. Trump is a narcissist who thrives on exerting power and control over the individuals he deals with. He gets a kick out of it.

In his mind, he benefits by maintaining leverage over Zelenskyy and moving onto the next stage of his attempts to destroy him.

That being, forcing him to capitulate to Putin.

Apparently Trumpster isn't very happy that Zelensky has met the king before him. Will probably throw his rattle out of the pram and not come

I pray he doesn't come - think of the cost to our taxes of police protection and overtime 🤷🏼‍♂️
I hope he does come, but he's taken down public roads to see the full extent of public disdain towards him.

In other news, found this very interesting. 90% of his net worth is in his new meme coin 🪙 it is left wing opposition news channel but still sounds worthy of investigation, if at all possible?

I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable about the state visit offered to Trump. I can see what Starmer is doing, but I wonder if that was needed now.
Do we have a date for this fixture? I’ve not seen it anywhere.

He says that the adversaries - Russians, Chinese, Saudis, Qataris, Turks have all bought the Trump meme coin. They all have a stake in the Trump presidency.

That'll be Turks as in Turkey, the member of Nato.

Yes, the coin seems to be worth a lot for some reason - exactly, donations for favours.

I'd guess the exact purchasers is his speculation and is of course unproven.

The fact a meme coin launched weeks ago, is now 90% of his net worth, and seeing whats happening in real time, its plausible Trump policy is for sale to highest bidder?

yep, Trump likes to exert power and win, or be seen to win. with that in mind how does he present Putin success as a win in US? past a bit of bombast, the vast majority of USians left, right and centre see Russia as an opponent of US. 70 years, 3-4 generations of indoctrination that cant just be undone. a Putin win is a Trump loss to all but a very, very, very small group of blinkered Trumpians.

By lying about it, obviously.
