My view as well. He’ll turn up expecting a heroes welcome and the country from the king down gives him a biblical load of grief. TBH, I’m not convinced he’ll come as he’ll not be able to control the narrative but mainly because he’s a coward.
Please let it be a very slow open top carriage procession down The Mall and not a private jet into Scotland and a closed off procession to Balmora. 🙏

I know it’s ridiculous and it’s beyond belief but I can’t help feeling that Trump is in Putin’s pocket and a supporter of the Russian ongoing genocide. I am totally unable to get my head around what he and his cronies are doing.

I know he wants the minerals but at any cost to Ukraine? It seems so.

Try googling Trump's financial & business connections with Russia.

Masterplan by Trump.

Stops American military aid going to Ukraine to place more pressure on Ukraine to sign the Rare Earth Mineral agreement, but overlooks the increased chance of Russia rolling forward and occupying the whole of Ukraine, given that their ability to fight back is reduced. Thereby Russia get all the minerals and America loses out completely.

This of course could have been the plan all along from Comrade Trump.
Or Trump has made a pre deal with Putin for some of those minerals.

I don't think it's ridiculous anymore - it seems to be happening in plain sight, plus that twitter thread of Musk's involvement with Russia in recent years.

For a start, the US gave Ukraine under 200 billion, but asked for 500 billion in return with no security guarantees.

Zelenskyy went to the White House to sign a framework for the mineral deal- the stumbling block is currently the Military/Security issue - not the financial side.

Zelenskyy has said since the White House meeting he is still prepared to sign the deal.

He is clearly not in agreement with you and many others on this forum

I understand your anger, but my president has never sided with a genocidal fascist. He wants to end the killing. Don't you? Do you have a solution?
Eh? How can you possibly say that with a straight face? Yes he wants to 'end the killing' by letting the Russians win. No decent American can support that position of course as they still support the rule of law.

I have come to the conclusion Trump, Vance & Musk are all in Putin's back pocket. When they speak to him & he asks them to bend over they ask 'how far & which way'.

Includes shades of the French partial ceasefire idea. He’s changing his tone to include things that will pacify the narcissist - thanks for the javelins, Mr President. Make him feel like he’s back in control. Suggests Zelenskyy is getting some welcome help or advice.

I fear it won’t be enough.

They all have their own agendas which basically result in lining their own pockets. Trump has proved to himself that he can get away with just about anything, so he’s gone big time with an opportunity to dip into and unlock the millions Russia has stacked away throughout the world. He recognises that Russia and Ukraine have driven themselves into a cul-de-sac and he’s going to be the one picking up the benefits. Let’s see which companies end up with the mineral deals and how much they pay Trump for them.

None but according to Vance we are a random country who hasn't fought a war for 30 years. Rowing back a bit claiming he wasn't talking about the UK. Ye right.
Was he speaking about us? By virtue of stating “30 years” he can’t have. I don’t know why everyone is getting exercised about this. It’s inconsequential amongst everything else!!
