On the BBC, they tell us that the US side has banned the press from the meeting between Zelensky and Kellogg.
I think this is because there is no " Win " for Trump's fragile ego. Zelensky has probably made Kellogg see sense, especially since he was trained to defend against Russian threats, Zelensky should be pushing an open door.

Let's hope there's a sudden blizzard that grounds all planes for 6 months
Forget the blizzard, is there a chance we could persuade that asteroid to come back?

Sadly I think Kellogg is now a patsy,- if he had any spine he'd resign and explain why, but he's 80, probably on a good bonus, and I suspect he'll just play the role.

I don't think I'd want to resign in Kellogg's position, even if I wasn't getting paid. If he resigned it would do nothing. There's enough condemnation of Trump already.

Instead I'd tell Trump I was there for America and there for him, and ask how we can best achieve Trump's goals. That would give me an insight into his evil plans. I would then pretend those were my goals, but instead I'd share them with Zelensky and anyone in Europe that I trusted, and I'd use the information to help Ukraine. Being American I would of course want to do what's right for America, but given that Ukraine are fighting for the free world, helping Ukraine is what's best for America.

"GB News is not even pretending it isn't Putin-friendly any more"

It's only a double negative.

GB News is Putin-friendly
GB News was pretending it isn't Putin-friendly
GB News is no longer pretending

Thanks, I got there in the end by doing exactly what you have there..but I think a few others sentences came to mind that would have been easier..."GB News no longer hiding the fact it is Putin friendly" or some thing like...All this Trump stuff is difficult enough to stomach without a double negative...

Actually, is it a triple negative?

'not' and 'isn't' are the obvious negatives, but is 'pretending' a negative too? I don't know, but we know what it means (but as you say, could have been worded better)

Would be nice 🤞🏻, I'll give Kellogg a chance
Many accounts are saying he's been effectively sidelined by Trump. And why have the US side cancelled the press conference after the private meeting between Kellog and Zelenskyy?

I certainly did think Trump was just an ego driven, fragile skinned idiot but the more this plays out, I really do suspect more that he's an outright Russian asset.

It feels that way, yes. The other (or it's the same?) thing I've read, from Dianne Francis substack...very good, is that Trump is going in with Russia to prise them away from China, who he sees as the biggest threat to US domination.

It's very upsetting. Musk:

There are some pretty good comments on it, but I suspect its like shouting into the void...I try to avoid Twatter but its like some sort of sick fascination, I can't help but respond to people who will never see it any other way..How does America create the people..there must be some people studying these MAGA types and those people like Trump and Musk using them to superb effect...

That just wouldn't work. Like Russia, China is a dictatorship. First and foremost, China and Russia are against democracy. Although it's becoming questionable, the US is still a democracy, so when push comes to shove, Russia would side with China (even though they have territorial issues).
