With the Statements Trump has been making about other sovereign states that he is interested in. Do you think he wants a New World Order with USA and Russia and maybe China carving everything up?
Probably can count Saudi in too.

Can honestly see a Trump binning NATO off, and sticking Musk and SpaceX on some kind of weapons assignment. He doesn't give a shit about Europe, and will probably not think twice against getting in bed with Putin if there's $ to be made. Who knows where we are heading

Scary isn't it.
I expect Putin also made Trump a nice offer of rare earths.
Europe needs to seriously get it's shit together - maybe this week is the time Europe really gets it.

I don't know whether I want you to be correct or not.

There's a part of me that wants the peace agreement to be a success, even though it - may - not be optimal (according to us) for Ukraine.

But there's a part of me that wants the war to continue. Ukraine is taking the war right into Russia, and the Russian people. 2.5 million drones a year (made in many, distributed places), are going to make a difference. Russia cannot defend itself against them. It would be a real shame to call a halt to it now.

I know what you mean. I guess I'll just trust Zelenskyy to do what's best for Ukraine. If he thinks there's a deal worth taking, I'll accept that scenario, and if he thinks they're better off fighting I'll wish them well.

Its alarming, feels like the world's going backwards at high speed. The most powerful nations are run by a cocktail of right wing/psycho/nut jobs all in power at the same time. Addressing climate change, well that ship feels like it's sailed now. Harris not getting elected has made the world a very volatile place for the foreseeable, what the next 4 years, and beyond knows is anyone's guess. There's gonna be a lot to fix, if it's possible

It's a very telling interview,a very hard read.
'In a particularly grim warning to Western leaders, Zelenskyy dismissed as “delusional” any notion that sidelining Ukraine would lead to easier solutions. “No one understands what war is until it comes to your home. I don’t want to scare anyone. It will come. I’m just telling you the facts,” he stated, highlighting the disparity between Russian forces (220 brigades) and European capabilities (80 brigades).'

I have no wish to scare anyone either. But Zelenskyy speaks from experience of having been invaded by Russia for three years.

The answer is clear. Arm ourselves. To do anything else would be an unforgivable neglect of the very first duty of any government.
The security of the realm.

Sounds more like capitulation, must be music to Putin's ear. His speech also seems they are turning their back on Europe but still wants to be part of NATO! Western governments really do need to get their heads round the fact that we are already at war with Russia & Ukraine is currently our shield. We must do much, much more. Reeves's budget it out the window, like it or not defense spending must take priority, especially as Trump seems to be turning into an imperialist fascist maniac with his fascist sidekick Musk.
Have to say that I felt very flat at the news about the Trump phone calls today. Let’s hope Trump will be as duplicitous as Putin in the negotiations. Based on past performance neither can be trusted.

Four years? I’m just waiting for Trump to start talking about changing the constitution

You have to question Trump's sincerity and intent regarding any peace plan when one of the two men he has picked to attend the defence summit on Ukraine in Munich on Friday.is JD Vance, who just after Russia invaded Ukraine said: "I gotta be honest with you, I don't really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another."

Spot-on. My fear is exactly what yours is. By the time these morons have expired (in any way), the damage done will have been too great.
