10,000,000+? Whilst I agree with your sentiments, I was just commenting on a topic that has been prevalent in the Worldwide news. We wouldn't have any room for football threads (if we had any!) if we commented on every wrong in the world. It is a wrong. I don't think animals should be slaughtered simply for the fur pelts. Something like 150,000 are 'hit and lost' which presumably means they die a slow and painful death for absolutely no reason.

Going back to sweatshops. I am generally careful what clothes I buy and tend to avoid the usual suspects, Gap and so on. (No Logo by Naomi Klein is worth a read if you haven't). Man has always worn fur as we did not have the capability or know how of producing products made from synthetic and/or natural materials.

Seals are not endangered, but I am uneasy when it comes to messing about with the food chain. Just the way I see things.
