For your information Lord B, I've already been over that with others on page two of this thread. Yes I know all about the word and its history. I was following on from there and didn't want to type the same stuff as I had to write before. Tell me what the race of Turkey is. Tell me that If someone saw a Turkish person in the street, they would pick on them because of skin colour. For example if Scotland play England. Scottish and English fans would shout and abuse eachother indicriminately. England play FYROM and the Black Players get abuse simply because of their skin colour. Which is because of nationalism and which because of racism.

Racist abuse against Turkish people is a reality across much of Europe - particularly in Cyprus, Greece and Germany, where there are significant Turkish populations. Victims are not just Turks, but other people from the Balkan region, particularly Muslims. In that respect, the term "Turk" is used in exactly the way in which the term "Paki" is used in England - which you clearly do understand.

English right-wing extremists have well established contacts with their counterparts in continental Europe. I think they are exploiting a situation with a view to extending their repertoire of racist hatred.

That's why I think it's racial abuse that we are seeing here, and not just a nationality issue.

Firstly,I never said it was ok for asians to be racist, just that I understood why asians born here might want to organise themselves and fight back against neanderthals like the good old 'stoke lads'you seem so keen on. Secondly you still havent qualified your source for the ammount of 'racist'attacks against whites you were quoting earlier. And thirdly you and me as a white person have no idea what it is like to suffer day to day raciscm at work etc in this country. I have worked at companies where I have seen people turned down for jobs on the basis of their colour, all done under a daily mail type 'well they just wouldn't fit in, not one of us' type of veneer. Followed by a small group of Whites holding signs to get Abu Hanza thrown out of UK for inciting terrorism towards British government and people. Did you know though the BNP had a Black man standing as councillor in a Borough of London I think.

Alot of the time though, people have no opposition to the government and no - one that listen to them. In areas like Bradford, the BNP are counting on this to pull in supporters. But where do they turn? The Tories? Voting for the BNP in these towns is most of the time a protest vote. Just like that idiot right wing frenchman La...er whatever his name was. People are fed up with feeling as though their heritage and life is disappearing. Yes that has nothing to do with racism. But this is where idiots like Blair have to listen when the people vote and act like this. There is more of an anti foreigner feeling now than 10 years ago due to increasing numbers of immigrants. If the Government won't speak and act for the people then who will? Exactly.... the BNP. They will have anyone thats the least bit pissed of with Labour over this subject.
