So chanting that i like to bum blokes isn't insulting because being gay isn't bad? ???

We know we're not gay, and they know they're not bombers (well lets hope so) so i don't see the problem.

At last someone that doesn't feel the need to PC.:clap2:

Hopefully the FA see it like that, after hull fans were signing it at the QPR game at the beginning of the season they had some of there allication slashed for our game up there as a punisment, due to the current affairs with terrorism the fa seem to come down quite strong on rasist chanting, the campainges have been going for years and for the people that thought it was funny last night, will they find it funny if are allication got slashed for one game?

Yep, comedy genius. Chris Morris, Peter Cook etc eat your heart out. That is true comic wit at its best.

The chants were a disgrace and an embarrassment.

But then, I must obviously be part of the POLITICAL CORRECTNESS GONE MAD!!! brigade that everybody harps on about.

I think it basically comes down to the fact that being called gay is not offensive

it is though - if someone is gay in the crowd, then they are being abused for what they are, which is surely as bad as someone being abused for being black

So any Asians in the crowd last night obviously wouldn't have felt at all uncomfortable about the chants would they? f***ing moron.

If you went to a football game with an Asian friend (just imagine) and that was chanted would that not make you feel awkward?

Most of it is, but the FA did cut hull's allication for signing about a team full of bombers, i know thats its only a small part of the crowd, but it is a problem in football, aswell as homophobic chanting. I can't see the fa ever really going to sort out homophobic charting asmuch as there racisim campaines, but if they reduced hull capacity for our game because of chats of "a town full of bombers" why can't they do the same to us after some of the chants last night? I know the hull thing was so soon after july bombing in london so the FA might have taken a stronger point on this.

If you're easily insulted by stupid chats like last night, then i suggest you aren't man enough for a football game.

I'm sure that the majority of people singing it had no meaning behind it. No more than the Luton fans actually thought we are all gay.

Give over.

We have to put up with all the gay chants.

I saw some of their lot laughing at it.

Gay chants are wrong as well but it should be remembered that Brighton fans did the 'does your boyfriend know your here' chant to some bloke when we were celebrating the Div 2 title win outside Brighton Station.

Well if a couple of Luton fans find it funny then it is alright then !

The ignorant chanting last night about bombs/saddam/bin laden/delhi was pathetic. Anyone who can't see the difference between that and the gay chants doesn't want to. It's obvious.

Replying with our 'you're too ugly to be gay' etc. is far better than 'you're just a small town in delhi' or whatever other shite people think up.

Nail on the head. For some reason this always seems to happen when we are at 'old fashioned' grounds in or around London such as Brentford, Colchester or Luton.

What about any Asians in the crowd? How do you think they would they have felt about it then?

The "Why can't we call them Paki's?" Brigade seem to be conveniently avoiding this point (WCWCTP Brigade).

Those Paki's just aren't man enough are they.

I suppose. Maybe it's just me then, I don't find the gay chants offensive and I'd be surprised if anyone who is gay does, seems just a bit of fun, but then again I don't actually know that because I don't know anyone gay who goes to the football (apart from rumble of course).

I find gay chats funny, i really don't mind them. I just don't want our allication to be slashed because of a few idiots wants to sign songs about a town full of bombers

I don't recall a group of fans singing the homophobic stuff asmuch as the Luton fans did last night.

I think they've got issues that they need to deal with. Fast.

When you walk into a football ground you have to expect banter. No matter what your colour, race, gender or sexuality. Do you take offence by constantly being called gay? I certainly don't.
So why should an Asian feel so bad about a lighthearted joke about Luton and Deli?

Oh dear. Banter. Oh dear.

No, because I'm not gay. And neither do you because you aren't gay. But if I was gay I might take offence at that. In the same way that calling an Asian person a "Paki" is offensive, and calling a white person a "Paki" isn't. Understand?
