Have the Potter fans forgotten he didn’t give a shit about TB/The Albion when he left and took the kitchen sink with him.
We go on about players leaving in the right way he was as bad if not worse as Cucurella in the way he left for Todd’s millions.
Short fecking memories,
How long will you keep going on about it? It's been two and a half years already. Get over it, and move on, most of us have.

Why do failed football managers get rewarded when they get the sack and again when they get a new job?

Because they're contractors... in a very important role.

Really, they should be on short-term contracts - but if a club offers a long, lucrative deal, you're going to take it.

Getting sacked doesn't make you a bad manager.

Nuno Espírito Santo, sacked by Wolves, Spurs and others, is currently third in the Premier League with Forest.

Eddie Howe, once dismissed by Burnley, is fifth with Newcastle.

Ex-Arsenal manager Unai Emery went on to win shedloads of trophies with Villareal and has taken Aston Villa to the Champions League.

etc etc

Great post. You can add the current England manager to the list. Also sacked by Chelsea and Potter took over his mess.

You know, when have a break up or get divorced. The more you are upset, can't let it go etc you are only hurting yourself.
Better to concentrate on the new partner
I think @Justice has even less faith in FH than he had in GP from his recent posts. It’s tough for him I’m sure

No it’s not, Poch did not reduce the squad to 25 and tell star players they were OUT. FWIW I think Maresca played an absolute blinder doing that.
Thing is, you can toss those three around (GP, Poch, M or M, Poch, GP and so on …) and it’s only the last of them that would be able to set down the foot and kick away half the squad. Non of them would have done it/have the mandate to do it if they were first in line. Situation changed and Boehly changed (even if he wouldn’t admit it).

Potter will have a new job by end of November

This happens every year. A manager appears on MOTD, or The Overlap (normally an hour chat with Neville and co) and starts on the charm offensive.

Just in time for the first sackings. United, Wolves, Saints potentially.

I think he's played an absolute blinder. Got rich(I don't blame him one jot for it. I'd have done exactly the same), can easily say "Chelsea were a basket case" to defend his record there and will easily get another job.
Dammit. 6 weeks out and I assumed he'd go in the first lot of sackings (which turned out to be almost spot on. Missed Leicester)

It happens every year. A manager just suddenly begins appearing on EVERY TV programme and you go "oh, he's after work again".

Looking forward to him telling West Ham fans how entitled they are and they need a history lesson

This is the first time in history that any football fan has held a grudge about anything.

Did Poch do that? I thought it was his successor
I meant the guy in charge now. That'd why I wrote 'permanent' to distinguish from Lampard.

To be honest I'd forgotten about Poch.
