The dull part of the south coast
Sadly my early door opinions have become factual.
Whilst many got carried away with early season results it wasn’t hard to notice we aren’t structured on the pitch.
My foundations will be just fine FH needs to work on his 😉
We have all been frustrated over the last few weeks not only by results but also by performances. We, as fans, must remember that we have a young coach in this his first season in the Premier League, we also have a raft of promising but inexperienced players as well. It all takes time to gel. Unfortunately we were all spoiled at the beginning of the season when everything went our way, not so much since the end of November. So maybe we should cut Fab and the players some slack here and accept that they are learning the trade and doing their best. Let’s wait until the end of the season before we cast judgment on how successful or not on how the team have performed.

Indeed. West Ham, a club and fanbase who are entitled AF for absolutely no good reason should be fine with a succession of low scoring draws, high possession numbers and 2.5 xG. It's what they live for.
It’s the West HWay.

May l politely remind everyone that this is all based on no more than rumour? Lopetegui hasn't even been dismissed yet, so no one can confirm that Potter will be appointed the new manager, even IF it happens.

I think l'll wait for the fat lady to sing, if no one minds.

You are absolutely right of course. Lopetegui, I imagine, could be furious that this stuff is going on while he's still manager.

And not forgetting several medium to long term injuries.
If he had a full squad to select from we would field a very decent team.

I really hope he takes the job, one where he'll be at a club who expect to win trophy's and qualify for Europe whilst playing attacking football so attractive that the world calls it the West Ham way. It'll be perfect fit for someone who relishes winning things, excels under high pressure with an expectant (dare I say) entitled fan base bringing the best out of him, much like we saw at Chelsea...

I'm sure he'll love coaching Kudus to cut back and play it safe, whilst making sure the BIG players respect him for his vast array of managerial achievements.

It's another match made in heaven, and surely only unbridled success awaits.

The cherry on the cake however, is that we'll inevitably see less of a certain poster who'll doubtless be readying his notes/essays on why Graham is a born winner with the strength of personality to succeed at a club which demands regular forays into Europe, with anything less than 8th place being rewarded with a sacking or mutual agreement to part ways. Great stuff.

Like I say, the sooner he takes the job the better - yey!
This with bells on!

Surely he'll want a longer contract than 6 months? If that's all west ham are offering he should tell them to do 1!
Maybe that's all he wants? There's an article in the guardian saying that he has admirers at Everton. Perhaps he thinks they're a better long term bet with the new stadium and owners? Half a season at West Ham could be perfect to get him back in the window and give him options. Maybe Everton come calling, maybe someone else, maybe if it goes well and he feels comfortable he stays at West Ham. He's been out of wrk for nearly two years, if he goes much longer the game would have completely moved on from him.

That's all conjecture though, I have no idea!

Yeah, so furious he won't know what to do with a few million squid pay off and having to leave broken Britain in the midst of yet another heat wave.

So, So, furious.

The non Brian Clough associated Peter Taylor? Came in, won league 2, left respectfully.
Really? "resigned from his job at the end of the season, citing a low budget and the delay to the new stadium." Then moved to Hull.

I thought he was an arse for doing that. Oh well. My bad?
