Agreed.

When I did mine, half of the panel were so f***ing WET and INCAPABLE of making a decision, that the evil little toerags would have walked, if the one or two strong members hadn't been there to make them see straight!

True. I had the world's thickest Daily Mail-reading bimbo desperate to send some kid down on the flimsiest of evidence.

Just WAIT until Fleet Street TURNS on the McCanns - a pissed-off Vatican will be nothing in comparison. They'll wish they were under the patio too.

Disturbing breaking news from CNN

(CNN) -- Madeleine McCann's blood was found in a car her parents rented 25 days after they reported her disappearance, family spokeswoman Justine McGuinness told CNN.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe/09/07/madeleine.mccann/index.html

I haven't seen the CNN interview but I have seen her interviewed live on BBC News 24 and Sky News. What McGuinness said was that police have suggested they found blood in that car. She certainly wasn't stating that it was a fact that blood had been found.

And, let's face it, it sounds very far fetched....

The McCann's hide Madeleine's body such that, despite the huge search that went on, it could not be found. And then when they were very much in the world's spotlight they were able to pick up the body from aforementioned hiding place, pop it in a car and drive off to get rid of it somewhere. And, whilst doing all this, blood was left on the car.

...I'm not buying that at all.

If NSC was in charge they'd been hanged before they got to the court.

If you'd stop judging upstanding NSCers by your own dubious parenting standards Mumm you'd be able to see clearly that hanging is the only way forward for the McCanns and anyone else who feels it is acceptable to woefully neglect their children's wellbeing. If people aren't willing to accept the full responsibility of what having children entails then don't have them in the first place, then you can go out on the piss and not have to worry about abandoning them in a hotel room!

Absolutely. It may well be a case of lack of evidence that is fuelling these stories. The McCann's must be going through hell at the moment.

I would agree with you, other than the fact that the local police were so inept in the first few weeks that just about anything could have occured and they would have missed it.

I have a question: Did they have the car in question at the time of her disappearance, or did they rent it later?

They rented the car twenty five days after her dissapearance.

Just supposing these stories are true, and that forensics have indeed found her blood in that car, is it IMPOSSIBLY far-fetched that the very same hire car was rented to whoever was in fact responsible, three weeks earlier. Its not a huge resort, and the fleet of hire cars would be relatively small. Seems very unlikely, sure, but stranger things have happened.

Just wish the truth would out. I couldn't do what they did, but I can understand it....and so can any number of parents - in the olden days it was the norm! I'd hate to think what NSC'ers would say if someone's kid was stolen from the front room of their house whilst the parents bbq'd in the back garden!!

I hope the truth appears soon, although I doubt it...

Ok, well that does also make it seem highly unlikely that they were able to keep her dead body hidden for 25 days locally without the police (even the local police) finding it. (all hypothetical of course).

Odd.

Either way.

The thought of having nowhere to escape from receiving regular lecherous notes from Lokki 7 - possibly containing HIS own soiled underwear - it doesn't even bear thinking about.

Good point. Well made.

So let's get this straight. They go out for a meal. One of them nips back murders the daughter and disposes of the body. They then go back to the table. One of them (may be the same one) "discovers" the girl is missing.

Weeks later they hire a car and shift the body from its temporary burial place (under the stairs maybe) and dispose of it.
