another good win for the bears last night. have been so surprised by them, really didn't hold out much hope, i had us down as 6-10 for the season if we were lucky. long may it continue!

have a great time, lemming stomper. we are off for our double header on week seven. minnesota at chicago on sunday and then denver at new england on monday. hoping to get back a bit later in the season as well.

detroit is one of my favourite nfl stadiums as well.

Went to the Jacksonville vs Pittsburgh game last night. Disappointing result but great occasion and great atmosphere. Anyone on here been to the Jags stadium and if so interested to hear how you think it rates against others you've visited? I think it's pretty good but haven't been to any others so don't have a comparison. Was in an exec box for last week's OT win against the Texans but last night it was back to reality and upper deck seats level with the 30 yd line. Jags not looking good this year and the play-offs look a long way off. Still away to Denver next week (the Donkey centre half's mob)
so hopeful for that one assuming we actually rediscover our running game.
Impressed with the Steelers last night - especially Rothliesberger.
Anyone ever planning a trip to Jacksonville for a game let me know and I'll be more than happy to help out with local info , how to get tickets etc.
Cheers and Go Jags!!

Cheers Starry,

We fly into the windy city and have a day there before we head to Indy.Never been so looking to do the Sears Tower and in the evening going to see My Morning Jacket.

Any tips on anything else to do?

Good luck with da Bears. Looks like Kyle Orton may be the real deal !

Eggman - Just back from the Skins game. Sorry to report that we are shit (AGAIN) this year. One week we look like champs and the next chumps. R'Skins and Giants look like they are only contenders for NFC East. Let me know if this is your first time in Philly. I'll be glad to give you a few pointers on what and what not to do............

Aye, saw the game on Sky. Initial pre-season optimism has pretty much evaporated. Same old, same old. I'm sure we would be good enough to get to the playoffs in any other division but the Beast, I think we will finich bottom of it again. Its just so fuckin frustrating.

Have a good time bar the result? It'll be my third time over there. Love it

Checked the Jags website today and how good a deal is this? $135 for a 3 game AFC pack. Home games against the Browns (big deal) , Titans (we hate them) and the best of the lot the Thursday night game against the Colts. HFD. That's around 70 sheets in old money isn't it? Lost track of the exchange rate a bit lately I have to admit. Am I the only Albion/Jags fan?
Come on help me out. Someone adopt Florida's finest even if it's only one of you NFC supporting types picking up a favourite AFC team.

With all the doom and gloom following today's Albion result I'm really looking forward to watching the Giants play the Cleveland Browns at 8.30 this monday - the Giants are at the top of their game at the minute (lot of folks think their win in the Super Bowl was a fluke) and the Browns have had a poor start - should be an interesting game.

Having finally run out of patience trying to find an unofficial internet feed that works I've subscribed to the gameday HD package on the NFL website. Not cheap but as it can be purchased weekly now I don't mind on an ad-hoc basis. Very good quality stream.

Now DCH my wife almost had me feeling guilty for the stream of emails this afternoon saying "M.J.D" - (Jags running back Maurice Jones-Drew for anyone not in the know) and then I check my phone to find a text message from you sent at right around the time Denver scored on their first drive!
Seems I didn't start the "trash talking" even if I thought I did.

Go Jags , Go Gators. See you in a couple of weeks. Your Broncos shirt is untouched although if you want me to send it back for a Jags no 32 just say the word!!

some ending for us last night again, 26 seconds left on the clock we get the touch down and point to put us up, they get the ball and manage to get into fg range and won with something like 2 seconds to go. gah. he'd missed the early fg to win it for them as well, we couldn't get that lucky twice.

i am impressed with the giants, lyndhurst. wasn't convinced by them much last season despite the superbowl but they really look like the real deal now.

not long until wembley now, went to my brothers to watch the bears on sky and saw nick and kevin were over in america promoting it. i read that something like 31 of the saints had to get their first passports to come over for the game.

The Bears are 48-31 up right now, I get to watch the gamepass and Paddy gets to go to Solider Field. :(

Always nice to see the Cowboys getting turned over. Even funnier when it's the Rams beating up on them.

2 beaten teams coming over next week - don't think we'll be seeing the Superbowl champs this year! Also sounds like Reggie Bush is gonna be doubtful which would be a shame, a few superstars missed last year as well (Zach Thomas, Jeremy Shockey)

Tried to throw it away at the end by managed to hang on. 48-41.

That is a shame if Bush doesn't make it next week. We're really looking forward to it. The kids are far more excited for this game than they have been for a Leeds game in a long time. Should be better than last years, Bush or not.

LDT vs Reggie Bush. In terms of names and potential excitement the NFL really couldn't have sent us better. Both teams need to win to save their season - and I reckon the crowd is gonna come down much more heavily in favour of the Saints (as opposed to last year where the split was about 50/50, with loads of fans of other teams who had no preference) so the atmosphere should be rocking as well! Cannot wait. Tailgate bar here I come!

To be fair the Giants weren't exactly setting the world alight last year before Wembley

I spose not many people were tipping them for the Superbowl, but they were 5-2.

Might be wrong about these 2 teams, but the Saints have looked out of sorts, and the Chargers just lost to the Bills! Maybe I'm being harsh on my beloved Bills, but I don't think that shows postseason credentials!! Don't get me wrong, I think the position both teams are in is gonna make the game AWESOME!

According to a rumour someone just emailed in to Sky, Bush is NOT travelling to London. Balls.

There is a massive disadvantage for teams travelling West to East according to the stats which is why i would back the Chargers to beat the Bills in terms of talent but didnt touch them due to location.

My double header last week was superb, with the Browns win the highlight as they live in a proper football town with amazing fans.

The Colts fans all pissed off home after the game and i now know why Indy is known as the 'nap' city as the bars were all shutting at 9 !!

i'm back from our double header. we have a fabulous time.

the bears game was awesome. we didn't have much time in chicago, just literally in for the game, sleep and then back on a plane but we had a great time. my son told me he wished he could go watch the bears all the time instead of leeds. was a great game as well. our special teams did great. joint top of the nfc north with the packers as well. i thought we were really going to struggle this season, 6-10 if we were lucky. am quietly hopefuly we'll makeit to post season but not go all the way.

then we flew up to boston for denver v new england. i felt a bit sorry for the broncos by the end of the game, the pats dominated them all over the place. 41-7, was very impressed with matt cassell as well. brady? they don't look much like they missed him to me. we flew back right after the game so no time to do anything in boston.

that is a shame about reggie bush not coming on sunday. was looking forward to seeing him. but still, will be a good afternoon. am really looking forward to it.

we'll be at the tailgate as well atfc.
