I don't think i'd have upgraded to Sky Sports if I didn't already have it as I would prefer to have Gamepass. Even with my SS subscription I was very tempted to get a HD gamepass, very good value for NFL fans without Sky.

NFL Game Pass - Powered by Yahoo! Sports

Oh and my Steelers are DESTROYING Houston! :drink:

that gamepass is brilliant. we have been without tv for a while now but the game pass is excellent. the streams are always tp notch. makes me wonder why the lutv/premium tv of the football world here are such poor quality and only work half the time.

good win for da bears yesterday. we're going over for the week seven fixtures, bears at home to the and then on the monday night the broncos at new england

my brother went and got nasn and if we didn't haveleeds on saturdays that is top notch for college football. some good games this weekend.

Varndean Dolphins all the way!

As someone who only does terrestrial TV, the NFL has been passing me by for a long time now, which is a shame because I used to be an avid viewer when it was on Channel Four back in the day. Great game, second only to football for me in terms of world sports. Cricket and rugby.... you can keep 'em.

Looks like Tom Brady's broken his anterior cruciate ligament, looks like that's it for the Pats this season

US football really is a good game. It is just a shame it is interupted by so many commercial breaks, it really does drive me crazy at times. I watched the Jets v Dolphins last night and the game last 60 minutes, yet the programme lasted over 3 hours.

I am afraid to say it is not as good as cricket, but it is MILES better than rugby. There is just so much more to US Football than rugby.

The Pats will be OK. Brady is a well-liked but average QB. The system he plays in just makes him look better than he is

Season for me doesn't start for another 6 hours when my beloved Broncos attempt to beat the Raiders. As we've lost our last 5 MNF games I'm not holding out much hope. Still Sky+ is all set up and ready to go so something to watch tomorrow.

Hmmm, I'm yet to be convinced about that...

Gutting loss for my Chargers in the last second to the Panthers, but we'll be ok

Patriots 19 Jets 10. Like I said - the Patriots will do OK without Brady.

Anyone just see the finish of the Broncos Vs Chargers. Broncos got a TD with 24sec on the clock 1 point down needing the Goal to equal and take it into overtime.

They went for the 2 and got it and won the game, quality game and a quality finish, which also had some controvosy over the refereeing decision.

Just caught the last 5 minutes - looked like a great game with Marshall setting a club record for the Broncos with 18 receptions in the first game after his suspension.

I think the jury is still out on that one. If I'm not mistaken the QB was starting his first game in that position since HIGH SCHOOL. That lack of experience has to cost him at some point.

Meanwhile the Pack go marching on.

We lose both the first two games in the last second. 0-2 when we should be 2-0

Such a shame :yahoo: Let's go Broncos, let's go!

I honestly thought we had blown it but you've got admire Shanahan for having the balls to go for a 2 point conversion that deep into the game. Great day for end of game excitement for me - Goodwin for Sussex and Royal for the Broncos.

I have to say whenever I see that I think why do they normall go for the extra point?

As far as I'm concerned you have a shot to win the game, i know it's only one shot but never-the-less you have a shot. If you take the 1 point you go to overtime where you may not even touch the ball again. I'd take the shot every time

I know what you mean but with such high stakes though, most coaches would go for the safe option of the extra point that is, in effect, a tap in rather than risk a defeat on a play that can easily go wrong

To quote the Broncos' website "Since the two-point conversion was implemented in 1994, that was only the third time a team has won a game by choosing to go for two in the fourth quarter. The last time it occured was in 2005 in a contest between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins, with Tampa Bay winning 36-35."
