Maybe I’m a bit pissed, but what the f*** are some of you on that players are just going to want to carry on playing here while the promise of 3 or 4x their wages and potentially winning a title medal is on the table?

We’re not in a fairytale, it’s just football. It’s been like this for a 100 years.
100 years ago I can assure you - no 5 subs, no mid season transfers so big clubs rape small ones, and no social media tapping up.

Agreeing to £60m, £80m or £100m is irrelevant to our chances of high finish this season and irrelevant to RDZ. Overnight he’d lose the midfield powerhouse gelling things together, we/he’d be undermined.
I agree, he’s too integral to lose currently, I’d be very disappointed if he leaves before summer as our season would likely fall apart. It’s not my money though so it’s up to uncle Tony.

That statement should have been released after a deal is announced.

So it seems to me to have been a blunder and was posted too early by mistake.

So the deal is done and the cat is out of the bag.

Tbh I'm very disappointed in the albion for accepting any bid this close to the end of the January window.

It only says that the ambition we have is to make money out of player sales - that is the business : a production line of profit, one player after another. The ambition I hoped we had was to keep the squad together at the minimum for the whole of this season and see where that lead.

What a shame.

I can’t help wondering if letting Trossard walk so easily encouraged this

On both Twitter and Instagram minutes apart? No, this is very deliberate forcing a move.

Whilst I agree generally with what you’re saying and with Bissouma, Trossard and even Cucurella to a degree, I think that’s right. In this scenario, he’s a kid with many, many years to play at the top level and he’s only just started playing in the league. And it’s January. And the end of January at that.

In the summer we all expected it and would have accepted it. As I’ve said before, like you I’m usually philosophical about these things but he really is taking the f***ing piss by doing this now.

What deal? That’s news to the owning club with all rights.

The primary contract will be a sale contract for £100m in summer 2023 between BHAFC and either Arsenal or Chelsea.

I was thinking the same. And he's sat there watching Trossard playing tonight.

What an absolute crock of shit this all is. Although to be fair we all thought that after GP and our entire coaching staff left and that turned out OK.

Just can't help but think we won't keep getting so lucky as to keep bouncing back from setbacks fine though - especially this one at this point in the season

Has this level of pillaging of one club in such a short space of time ever happened before!? It can't have done. It's laughably ridiculous!

I’m still wondering if this is cock up rather than conspiracy. Someone at his new agency has jumped the gun and might well have jeopardised the move.

Sacked in the morning.

Does he currently have 18 months remaining on his contract?

Are we likely to receive as much with only a year left on his contract in the summer?
(I know we all want to answer yes to that, but is it likely?)

There are platforms you can use when you are working with social media that allow you to schedule to post across different channels at the same time, so it’s not impossible.

He’s good at football, it’s doesn’t mean he’s smart. More likely the opposite, he obviously doesn’t have the logic to think like that

30 months - it expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.

There may have been talk of a year-option in addition to that, I can't remember. Regardless the "sweet spot" for us to sell him is now or the coming summer.
